Hey guys, I recently took FAR and REG (July and August respectively). I scored 65 on both. I used Becker Fastpass during the beginning of the summer; then took 3 weeks to study individually for each exam. I feel like the becker fastpass was a waste of time. I am looking for a different review course… maybe roger CPA because of his enthusiasm. I am currently studying for Aud (planning to take the end of october). any advice?

    FAR - 08/25/13 - 65, 01/09/15 - fingers crossed
    REG 10/22/13 - 69
    AUD
    BEC

Is Becker FastPass a final review? Not sure FastPass would be as comprehensive as Becker complete review package.

I had studied with Becker complete review package and ninja note. It was sufficient for all my 4 exams.

    Currently:
    CPA - Class of 2013
    ALMI (Associate, Life Management Institute)
CISA - Passed in 2011, Certified in 2014

    In Progress:
ASA (Associate of Society of Actuaries) - EXAM P (O), EXAM FM (O), EXAM MFE (X), EXAM MLC (X), EXAM C (X)

The becker fastpass was a 5 week accelerated class that covered all 4 sections. I thought it would be helpful but it went through the material way too fast. REG – 1 week, BEC- 1 week, AUD – 1 week, FAR – 2 weeks

    REG 10/22/13 - 69

Dang, that is definitely a fast pace!!

Becker is sufficient to pass all the exams, because people do it all the time. But that doesn't mean it's the best for you to pass all the exams. If Roger's teaching style attracts you, then I'd definitely consider it. Personally, I'm a huge Wiley fan, so because his course uses Wiley, I'd support him. 😉 haha. The key is to find something that you can understand and learn from. If Roger's is that for you, then it's what you need. If Becker was understandable just too quick, then maybe try the full Becker. Just look around for a curriculum that you feel like you can learn what they're teaching, and use it! All of this big names have the information needed to pass the exam – the piece that varies from one to another is whether or not it has the teaching method that allows you to get the information you need to pass it.

Becker did not work for me either. I decided to buy the Wiley complete package that includes books, focus notes, and test bank. I learned more on BEC reading the books, taking notes, and working the questions. I also find the Wiley books to be more helpfull than Becker's. The main thing that I found is the video lectures were worthless to me. I was not taking in the information while concentrating on highlighting the entire book.

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!
