Mastery of AUDit vs FAR score? 60% of AUD=80, vs 80% of FAR=80?

Finished FAR, doing AUD now. Unlike FAR, which was very similar to coursework, AUDit is basically pretty new… I thought I had a pretty good command of FAR questions, and only got a 77…

I feel like I will definitely not get 80% of AUD like I thought I did with FAR. But it’s supposed to be easier.

Do you guys think that even though I’ll get a lot less % right, I can still pass? Or should I study harder?

    FAR: 2/23/14 77 (1 month studying)
    AUD: 5/25/14 68
    AUD: 7/13/14 72
    AUD: 10/12/14 72

I don't really understand your question. I think you should study as hard as possible for each exam and not focus on the percentages that much. AUD is tricky because of the wording, but there is not nearly as much material to cover as FAR.

I'm saying, with FAR, I feel like it's a few concepts and formulas. The formulas are kind of repeated. Lease questions are tricky because you have to get the entire schedule and columns right just to get to 1 answer, but the methodology is repeated.

Whereas it seems, each individual audit question is its own question…

Granted the Wiley FAR is 1200 pages vs 600 for Audit.

    AUD: 5/25/14 68
    AUD: 7/13/14 72

I've seen people say they were scoring 60% on their homework and passed the exam, I've seen people scoring 80% on practices and fail the exam. The bottom line is that the exam isn't scored on a straight % so it's part mastery of the material and part the luck of the draw on exam day. It goes without saying that everybody wants to score as well as possible on the practice tests but don't bog yourself down analyzing your progress with precious time that could be used to grasp one more concept.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

I disagree- personally I think FAR has a huge and vast amount of material that is somewhat interrelated but not enough to make it easy. I mean, if you compare bonds and leases to governmental accounting and NFP and then think about deferred taxes, pensions, etc…its not an easy subject and it's definitely not only a few concepts and formulas.

AUD: PASSED [81]; Expired, retaking August 23rd
BEC: PASSED [83]; Expired, retaking July 11th
    REG: PASSED [83]
FAR: FAILED [64]; Retaking May 23rd

Well, I studied in a month, like I did for FAR, but got a 68 on AUD. I spent about half as much hours per night, maybe that was a contributing factor. Or maybe I'm not cut out for this lol.
