Maintaining Focus while doing MCQ

So I think I pinpointed the problem to why I have been without success on my prior two tries with AUD. I seem to lose focus after doing about 20MCQ. After that I start making mistakes of not reading the whole question and all the answer choices available.

Does anyone else have this problem? How do you maintain that strong focus throughout the whole four hours of exam time.

Take a little break if you need. Look at your notes, review the book, anything to take your eyes and your brain off that method of studying for like say 5 min. Would that help you?

For AUD especially – I read the answer choices from D to A instead of A to D. For what ever reason it helped me make sure I read them all.

Also..chewing gum for what ever reason helps me stay focused.

I was having the exact same problems as you until I started using the DRRAMMA method. It took me from a 73 to a 98 after 2ish weeks of extra studying. I'm certain that I wouldn't have failed the first time around if I had just slowed down and really read the question.

I basically did the following routine before/during every MCQ:

    Deep breath

    Read

    Reread

    Answer, or

    Mark it

    Move on

    All over again

    RTMFQ works also works well

part of my problem last time w/ AUD is that failed to have any caffeine. I was literally almost nodding off at the terminal. I had to get out of there & do some jumping jacks in the hallway to wake himself up

    but yes, RMTFQ

Listening to music (no lyrics/vocals) could help.
