the MCQs were definitely doable, I studied to the point of being able to have a reasonable answer for 80% of them but my test was EXTREMELY tricky and not straight forward at all. Even the first testlet was tricky. Someone taking this exam would have had to know every single nuance about the sections to get these answers correct.

First testlet was pretty straight forward. Took me about 25 minutes.

Second testlet was medium except for a few questions out of left field. The questions didn’t get longer but more geared towards smaller topics. Not sure what they were asking for a few of them.

Third testlet was freaking stupid. I remember struggling with this one.

SIMs were a joke as usual (not in a good way)

Finally, if you really want perfect grammar, you should probably take a class in it and perfect your own before you criticize another. After all, grammar is a relative thing, as the lexicon of language evolves over time so do its constructs. But besides that, why should I have perfect grammar….I'm typing all day usually, and my wrists hurt….

    Have you no sympathy man?

The vast majority of CFO's and CEO's are from second or third tier schools, that was a statistical fact in 2003. I don't know about now though.

Kind of knocks your theory out of the ball park…

The highest paid accountant at a company nearby, where I have several friends that work, is actually a non-cpa, and went to a university most people would laugh it…it's borderline community college.

He was employed by a guy from Harvard with a CPA, and an MBA. Do you want to know why the company has promoted him four times since and the CPA Harvard guy zilch? In other words, do you want to know why in the last five years, the “dude,” is ahead of the “harvy graduate.” It's because he is computer savvy. In other words, all the video games that he's played have instilled in him a superhuman ability to multitask and work excel sheets, while also communicating and directing with others. Point blank, he's the best at his job.

So you'll be surprised to find out, that in business, it's not the person with the most credentials, it's the person who is the best at what they do, and only what they do…

    That's working for a big corporation though….

I don't think I've read as much common sense in my whole life than I have in this thread.

My IQ was officially tested at 138 but I'm neither a genius nor particularly intelligent

who cares about intelligence anyway, we're on this earth to make money and procreate. Intelligence and success don't go hand in hand.

Thanks Jeff. I just heard rocket man on the radio.

I might add that the “dude” currently supervises the guy with a masters and a CPA, and that he was employed so that exact thing would not happen. But the guy with the CPA was an old timer. I'm sure he was one of those guys who said, “I have so many designations, who could replace me,” and probably scoffed at the idea of learning excel thinking he could get someone inside to do the work for him. I knew another CFO because I was a driver for a hotel for a while and he said the same thing when he first was employed and began frequenting the hotel.

There are certain geniuses among us who have reached the masses already. I refrain from putting a spotlight on them though because to do so might attract unwanted attention.

    That's all for now.

    Good night everyone.
