the MCQs were definitely doable, I studied to the point of being able to have a reasonable answer for 80% of them but my test was EXTREMELY tricky and not straight forward at all. Even the first testlet was tricky. Someone taking this exam would have had to know every single nuance about the sections to get these answers correct.

First testlet was pretty straight forward. Took me about 25 minutes.

Second testlet was medium except for a few questions out of left field. The questions didn’t get longer but more geared towards smaller topics. Not sure what they were asking for a few of them.

Third testlet was freaking stupid. I remember struggling with this one.

SIMs were a joke as usual (not in a good way)

“Which begs the question” … what is the point of a successful career if you suck at everything else?

I have a theory that I can fly.

Jumping out my window and breaking my face doesn't disprove it either…it just disproved that I couldn't fly at that moment.

Perhaps I need a rocket ship.

You bring out the snark in me.

I welcome your snarkiness. PC Jeff gets boring sometimes, I like to push your buttons to bring out your more exciting personalities.

I think everything else held equal, Mini is correct to a certain extent. However, a high GPA, a pass-on-the-first-try CPA exam, a Master's, Doctorate's can only take you so far… if someone can't interact with people, isn't likeable, can't communicate and build strong relationships…they're not getting very far. There is a difference between being “book smart” and business smart. Obviously high credentials speak a lot about an individual's competency, but there's a lot more to it.

@jenuno – I completely agree. My only point is that the “best of the best” have all of the above qualities, not just some of them.

Shot-blocking non-ironic instances of irony are one of my guilty pleasures.

EXACTLY. Killed by your “safety belt”? Ironic. Live in the poorest neighborhood in town called “Luxury Estates”? Ironic. It rained on your wedding day? NOT IRONIC, ALANIS MORISSETTE!

Being killed on Friday April 13 by one of the actors who played Jason Vorhees. Ironic.

Baseballcpa….I'm not self proclaimed anything…I actually scored a 36 on my act for reading comprehension and grammar. Although my grammar isn't perfect – my second language is English – I am still better at it than 99.9 percent of people in this country – I am from here.

Although my ACT score should have been a 36 all around, I have a tendency to drift off into daydreams having a hyperactive imagination.

I am not a self proclaimed genius. To me a genius isn't someone with a high IQ, it is someone who reaches the masses in some extraordinary way. There are so many people with high IQ's. Higher than mine indeed, maybe you are one of these people. But can you reach the masses like Daniel Johnson did?

Do you see Albert Einstein as a genius because he was exceptionally skilled in logical operations? But he lacked the foresight to see his discoveries would lead to nuclear weapons. Perhaps he should have had the genius to pull away from research in that area, and gone down a different path – one that did not involve splitting atoms.

What is a genius and who proclaimed what? Was it I who said that a high IQ was the trait of a genius, or was it you who thought that and projected your own belief on to me?

And I'm sure you're a great accountant. But passing the first time doesn't mean that you will nor is the reason that you are.

Maybe it is because accounting is your transcendent function. Perhaps it is the center of your opposites, or even the function of the tensions in your psyche…who knows what makes a great accountant, but certainly passing the CPA on the first time. What about the people who grow into a profession? Like Albert Einstein, or Newton, or Galileo, or Leonardo Davinci….or more recently, Justin Timberlake?
