We’re all thinking it, I said it…. what do aspiring CPAs actually do for fun??

-I like to read, I’m big into fantasy novels but I read almost anything. This is the one thing I make sure to do every night despite my studying schedule

-I’m a gamer, I rarely get time to play anymore but I’m a pretty hardcore Modern Warfare player, and I dabble in some Minecraft and Starcraft 2 when the mood takes me.

-Board Games, another thing I wish I had time for. I’m not talking the boring Monopoly and Scrabble type games either. I play mostly Euro games like Caylus and Steam, and I’m a huge fan of Cosmic Encounter. I’m a bit of a board game geek.

-I’m also quite the home poker player when I’m not so low on funds.

-Couple any of those interests with some craft beer and I’m a happy guy

So what about you guys? I know we’re all busy, but there’s always those things we daydream about doing after we’re done with all this studying!

I'm a swinger. Just kidding. I don't think I'm the stereotypical accountant. Everyone falls into accounting because they can't of what else to do.

I love to bake. In fact after I am done with school I want to take pastry and cake decorating classes. Not for a profession but I love doing things like that for my family.

mla – that is hard work! I did a fancy cake for my 3 year olds birthday and a few weeks later did a smash cake and fondant cupcakes for a little girl and I vowed I would never do it again. It took me all nightq and day! Literally!

I like to read, cook, and I'm excited to start learning to sew now that I have some free time!

I also love to travel but I'm supporting a family so I don't get to much. 2 weeks from today though we're headed to NYC for a celebration trip! Thank you bonus!

I am more of a stereotypical accountant I must say. I am not real social nor do I like to drink much (on occasion yes), but I do like to be outdoors. My kids (4 and 5) do a lot of sports (football, baseball, soccer, gymnastics and ballet) so we are always on the go with that and then during offseason (now) we do a lot of hunting and fishing. Thats the extent of it, pretty boring!

Hi Everyone, I have got my NTS and paid fees for all four exams, i want to know whether i can schedule one exam which i want to appear in Jan now and schedule another after january Or i have to schedule all exams at once ??

@Achiever, since you paid for all four sections, your NTS is for all four. For California, you do not have to schedule all of them now, they can be after January. They must be scheduled within 9 months from the time you sent in payment to NASBA. I'm not sure if this is different in other states though.

    Good luck!

Achiever you don't have to schedule all at once but all have to be scheduled between the dates on NTS. It gives you six months. I wouldn't schedule until you're sure your ready to take the exam.

I like to cook and bake, just for family and friends. I don't intend to become a chef šŸ™‚

I want to pass the CPA exam, but honestly, I don't like accounting job.

There are 2 other things that I want to get in my life: be able to sew and play piano. I hope that I am done with the exam this year, and will take piano class with my 6 yrs old son

    Yes I'm a girl 100% too šŸ™‚ – oh that's obvious on my thread name – ahahaha
