    Hi

so i started off with Becker self study, have been trying to keep up with the study plan but life gets in and i am 5 days behind actually i should be doing F3 this week but I’m still stuck doing F2 and completing the massive amounts of MCQs in it.

My question is, as Jeff says to watch all the lectures first and then jump off to the MCQs, does it mean watching all the lectures form F1 to F9 and then doing the MCQs??

    thanks

Yes. Watch ALL of the lectures entirely FIRST. Then, MCQs when you're all done.

Just do what works better for you. I have been doing Becker lectures and homework, while doing Ninja MCQ simultaneously for sections I have studied (and adding sections as I go). I've been going slow, but at least I know I've nailed earlier concepts because of constant repetition. I'll probably be weakest at government because I'm studying it last. There's too much information to retain to do all the lectures at once for me, personally.

No. Watch each chapter and then do the MCQs from that chapter. Do progress tests as you finish each chapter to refresh your memory.

Watch lecture then do mcqs for that specific lecture. Repeat until you finish all the videos and mcqs for that chapter then do the sims. Leave off the additional questions for review.

    FAR-76 First attempt.
    AUD-79 First attempt.
    REG-79 First attempt.
    BEC-79 First attempt.

    Done!

It really depends on preference and your learning style. I am NOT an audio learner, so for Becker I usually listen to lecture last (or if I'm short on time, skip it in it's entirety.)

I learn best by reading and doing, so I take the following approach:
    1) Read the chapters
    2) Do the MC homework
    3) Listen to lecture if I have time
    4) Squeeze in simulations at the end of the week. And definitely (re)do simulations during your final review.

Since I listen to lecture at the end, it helps re-enforce things I've learned or might clear up some fuzzy concepts.

**Also, I recommend taking Becker section by section. Within each chapter, they have subtopics/sections. It's nice to read(or listen to lecture) for one subtopic, then do it's homework. Move on to the next section after you finish homework from the last. If you break it into smaller chunks, it's easier to grasp. Also, doing various things helps with my stamina, because you can get bored doing one thing for a really long time…

Motivated by JC. I do it to make God proud.

The NINJA framework says to watch every lecture for all topics before doing any MCQ. Reason being is you're likely to do better on a topic after just completing it and probably won't remember it a few weeks later when you try and do them again. Basically it's not an efficient use of study time to do them earlier since you're not likely to retain the information later.

I just started studying for my first exam last week and I'm struggling on how to go about it. I've read posts on here with people swearing by the NINJA method and I've seen others who go the more traditional route of completing a section and going back and doing all the MCQ for that section before moving on. Guess it depends on how much time you're giving yourself to get through all the material. I'm sitting for FAR on Feb 29th, but I work full time and have a baby on the way in a few weeks so my study schedule is likely to change.

I'm using Roger and currently I'm:
    1) watching the lectures for each section
    2) going back and reading the book and taking notes
    3) practicing some MCQ (only 10-20 a section)

So far I'm through Section 4, but I feel like it's taking too long. I might switch to the NINJA method soon if I feel I'm falling behind.

Watch lecture for the topic… do HW for the topic ! Watch the next lecture… do HW for the topic !
Don't forget to do a progress test regularly so that you don't forget everything.
