Hey guys, I don’t know why I waited this long, but I just tried to register for REG and the latest date they have is August 8th. Now way I can take it then because I’ve only just started studying for it. Are there a lot of cancelations towards the end of the quarter that opens up space? I figured I’ll study with the aim of taking it late August and hopefully a slot opens up.

There were definitely more tax questions, probably 2 to 1. I did relatively worse on the simulations and unfortunately it's 40% of the score. I hear you about answers that make you second guess. I often couldn't decide between 2 or 3 answers. I know it was mostly because I didn't study enough, but I was wondering if I would have had the same problems if I had studied a lot more. Anyway if you get through REG then that's a big weight off your shoulders. It's a lot of material although not quite as much as FAR's. But in some ways it's more challenging. Good luck!

Hey Soccersam_27, just wanted to let you know that the 2nd time I took REG it was quite different and I barely passed. First time I took it, due to time constraints, I skipped all the parts that weren't covered in the lectures, things like CPA duties, procedures, etc. I was fortunate that those questions didn't feature prominently on the exam. So I chose to skim over those sections quickly second time around and got burned because there were lots of questions from those sections. I guess my point is that they have a whole universe to test from, so next time you take the exam it may be anywhere from being similar to your first experience or quite different. Good luck.
