Last Section-Any Advice?

I have officially passed REG (83), FAR (86), and BEC (86) and now I’m onto my retake of Audit (I passed with an 83, 3 years ago and have since last credit). I am taking it on 8/28 and can’t move it because I lose credit for REG the same day…so hence, why I need advice. I absolutely 100% have to pass this section and I’m prepared to do whatever it takes over the next month to be done with this test. I have been in audit (both public and internal) over the last three years so I think the basics will come back to me easily and the transaction cycles as well. Work also happens to be very busy for IA this time of the year, with SOX testing.

Anyways, for people who are studying for their last section or are done, please offer me any advice you have!

I'm on my third but really I think you are beyond advice. You know what needs to be done, all that's left is for you to go do it. 1 exam 26 days and you are an unofficial CPA. Go make it happen.

    MBA,CMA,CPA, CFF?, ABV?

@Amanda_88, since you have auditing experience, it will be easier for you to go over the materials. from my experience, i can definitely tell you that it is very important to know the big picture of audit and do get lost in the details. i was using becker before i decided to switch to Roger and Ninja MCQ. Roger gave a good lecture and tied everything nicely. considering your scores, you should be able to pass audit without any issues. Good luck on your last section.

I agree. I was only in audit for a year and a half, but this exam came the easiest to me. You got this!

    FAR - 58/72/75
    AUD - 80
    BEC - 71/78
    REG - 80

DONE!!! "If you can dream it, you can do it!"

@Amanda – did you use becker Flashcards in your study regimen for Regulation? – what did you think? Were they helpful? I'm trying to find a different way to get all those tax rules cemented in my brain. I've been using Ninja flashcards (Ninja audio, Ninja notes with Yaeger videos, Wiley test bank) so far – and they've been more then awesome in helping me pass FAR, AUD, and BEC – I just feel I need a little push in memorizing the concepts and flashcards using the brainscape app has done it for me…. I'd appreciate any advice!!!!

    FAR - 02/24/14 - 86
    AUD - 04/03/14 - 88
    REG - 05/29/14 - 68 Retook 11/22/14 - 81 I PASSED!!!!!!!!! IM DONE! Thank You Jesus!
    BEC - 07/19/14 - 85

@Kemy I just saw this. I didn't use flashcards for REG- I supplemented with Ninja Audio. However, I have used Becker flashcards for BEC and AUD and they've really helped me. I also highly recommend Ninja Audio!

I'm like you – I've been working in Audit for three years (external for two; internal for one). I passed AUD on my first go around with no problem. When I got that 73 in early June I wanted to die/cry/scream/kill. Two more points and I would have been done, but instead I spent another month or so and another $250. I was fortunate enough to have another chance, but you've got a lot on the line.

My advice: Do not even THINK to yourself, “It's just Audit. I passed it before. I'll pass it again.” That was my downfall. I used being in Audit as an excuse to slack. It's easy to do. I mean, if I scored in the 80s when I was a green horn, I'll be fine now, right? RIGHT? No. Not even close!

Be ruthless. Don't leave your fate up to chance or luck. It's true that most of this stuff is intitive and second nature to us, but you need to be 100% on point, so study hard, and kick it's ass. I'll be looking for your pass in early September!!
