Well my plan for today is work on MCQs per topic, so I can see my weak points. Then work on those weak points.

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....

Ok……so I just took REG today. I have no clue how I did, some of the MCQ's were on specific topics that I have never worked on, but nothing out of this world. The SIMS, I think I did good in at least 4.

Now I can enjoy the summer while waiting on my score.

I hope you did well Marivy! I'm so glad for you that you get to relax for a little while waiting for your score. Hopefully the questions that were unfamiliar were pretest!

I will be studying the usual amount tomorrow. My husband has to work tonight (he works nights) and then I'll have the kids all morning. So I'll probably get 1-3 hours in tomorrow.

Today I hope to get 6-7 hours in. I'm doing weak spots this week which is ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL. I am giving myself until Friday to clear up my weaknesses and it's taking me forever. I'm hoping it pays off.

I'd love to join you guys, but I need to find the motivation to bury myself in the books again. Your posts here are really encouraging!

I am scheduled to re-take FAR on Friday, August 24th. But, I can't help but feel like I could maybe fit 2 exams in this window if I take FAR sooner and redo REG on Aug. 31st. Got a 72 for FAR in January, and a 68 for REG in May. I've switched to Roger's full review course (which helped me pass AUD in October with a 84) and have 75% of the videos watched for FAR, but none of the Wiley homework.

Any advice?

I'm getting sick of studying BEC. I've been through Becker and Wiley MC so many times, my brain just shuts down when I try to do another MC. I should've scheduled the exam this week and give myself more time for REG.

Hello morning risers! I did it! Got up at 5 a.m. this morning and got 2 solid hours in! I'd like to thank the timer on my coffee pot, my boyfriend for wonderfullly obliging to GTFO of my room at 5 am and sleep in the guest room.

Besides a ridiculous case of the 4 cups of coffee jitters, I feel wonderful and accomplished. I know I will probably start getting sleepy at 9 tonight but it feels good to know I only need to get in another hour or two, and don't have to drag myself beyond that.

Yay! Happy studies!

Also, I have a question for you all regarding note taking. I am using Becker and currently utilizing the NINJA mode of watching all videos one time and taking notes. I noticed Jeff suggests using a note pad for notes but I have been taking them right in my book. I find that even with this method, I barely have enough time to jot down what I need, I don't know how i'd be able to organize everything in a note pad…..any suggestions.

Studying is making me question if I need to see a doctor for ADD. But that's a whole other post…..

Good job Hustlin! 🙂 You will get used to it and the jitters go away…. then come the headaches when you dont have coffee by 7am ha!

I am using Roger and dont have videos(they expired) so I jot down important notes from the book on note pad so I dont have to go through the huge FAR book to review later on.

@Hustlin,

I think the purpose of having the notes in a note pad is to carry them out anywhere and also been able to re-write them after you are done with MCQ's.

I've used Becker for all the parts. I took my notes while watching the lectures, a lot of pause and play, but it paid off. Not having to go to the book again or at least few times after you are done with the lectures (because I had a good set of notes) was priceless. Not sure if it is a psychological issue, but looking at the book after watching lectures for so many hours made me very unhappy 😉

Good Luck and keep a good inventory of coffee in your pantry!!

I'm in again!! I am taking a tax class to finish out my license requirements and have decided to totally focus on getting all that coursework done this week so that I have 10 days to review before my test. I really don't know if I will be ready the 19th but I will not reschedule until it gets closer. I am on track and will be done with all the coursework by tomorrow. I just really feel scattered and I am hoping this helps me focus. I will know more about whether I need to reschedule once I get fully back into CPA exam mode. I can't imagine if the class wasn't related to REG! I would be losing my mind!!

All in all I won't really be upset if I have to postpone a bit. I can put it off until the end of the month and still have a month left till BEC. I just want to try to get them both knocked out this window!!

Happy weekend to you all! Well I have only a couple obligations this weekend so I am hoping to put in some good study time. I ended up buying the Roger Cram which I have never used before so this weekend is going to be dedicated to going through the whole book and listening to all the lectures.

I wish you all a productive weekend….this needs to be the last summer I am stuck cooped up in the house studying while everyone is out having fun!
