kyle.brownParticipantJeff i made the mistake of buying CPA Excel first before looking at this site which is my fault so i can only afford to buy things here and there.

ruggercpa2bParticipantLast Chance, I dont think Roger offers discounts for his cram unless you are already using his course. I have used the Audit Cram in the past and loved it but I had won it on one of his twitter giveaways.
Have you used Roger in the past? Maybe you can try and see if they would have pity and help you out. It doesn't hurt to ask.
AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016

jeffKeymasterI looked at your stats…you were trending 68% in both Entity Tax and Individual Tax…there are 6 topics in the AICPA's CSO…those are 2 of them…that's major.
I also see that you didn't answer 400 Business Law questions. You were trending in the 80s, however on BLAW.
I tell people to aim for 85% Trending. You were trending in the low 80s overall, but you were scoring really high in one area, with Tax a glaring weakness.
It's up to you if you want to throw more money at a course…just my $.02…hope that helps.

Last Chance CPAParticipantJeff – This is the third time I am using WTB/Ninja MCQs. I only left the 400 Blaw questions on the table because I know my weakness – tax. The first 2 times I completed all Ninja MCQs. I know that my average could be higher in tax, but I just don't think I have the fundamentals down for REG. This is the only exam for which I have 4 scores in the 60s. The only other time I ever even received an under 71 score was FAR #1 (60).
I hear you but I don't think a cram course will hurt at this point. I will find a way to charge my company š

TncincyParticipant@lastchance, I would listen to Jeff. He developed these materials for people like us so that we won't keep spending money trying to acccomplish something simple. By no means am I saying the test is simple, but study can be simple if we let it. I would give the mcq's another shot, take the notes on the ones that are wrong, then go from there. You're not far,,,,just hang in there. Use that money to get another nts and a latte (if you drink those). Cram courses cost as much as the review course, and are just as boring in case you didn't know.
Just a little help from a ninja cheering for you.
It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to passMay 5, 2015 at 4:54 pm #664301
ruggercpa2bParticipantLast Chance what did you use as your main review course? As some people in the past always said, if you are scoring in the 60s you don't have a good understanding of the material. When I scored 66 I went back and read the Wiley book cover to cover which helped me raise my score to 73. And then I used the Ninja MCQs and made sure I did what Jeff told me. It was so time consuming to invest the time to read the Wiley book and when it didn't make sense I turned to my old Roger textbook. I did not understand Evidence and each time I went into the exam I new it and never invested the time.
I bet if you actually invest the time to learn and understand Tax you will pass this exam. Good luck! I have faith in you.

Last Chance CPAParticipantThanks tncincy. @ruggercpa2b – I used CPAExcel, but I don't think I have ever done the baseline work required to pass REG. I will admit, I treated it lightly. It definitely “got” me. I will go back and really study tax (and blaw), and then hit the MCQs. I may get Gleim TB to supplement Ninja/WTB, because I have memorized a lot of the answers at this point…

golfball7773Participantto really understand tax, I would suggest working through the forms to get a fuller understanding and an overall picture.
FAR: 63, 55, 62
REG: 65, 77*
AUD: Fail, 64, 71
BEC: 72, 74, 81*expired

Last Chance CPAParticipant@golfball7773 – What study materials did you use for REG? I see you jumped by 12 points. And it looks like FAR is your nemesis. After passing FAR on my 3rd try, I started telling everyone it is a just a matter of time, and then after BEC, I told most people I am basically a CPA…one more try and FAR expires…
