    I can only say one thing; Life is not easy. No matter how old you are, 20/30/40…. issues will come up…

    @Kellyp

    Keep your focus on the CPA exam. He will either come back or stay out of your life, time will tell….

    I know that feel. It's probably for the best if he can't even handle you studying for this exam, which is temporary. Now you can really focus on the exam and pass it quicker than ever.

    Been single for a couple months now. Her loss now that I'll be starting a REAL career + bonus this year. Let the money flow.

    @dumguy, not so dumb after all šŸ™‚

    You're totally right in your commentary, I don't mean in regards to the OP or thistooshallpass but about the fact that it's really difficult to have a legitimate relationship when people are in their early 20s because of 1) other priorities- school, starting a career, CPA 2) maturity levels 3) finances but people choose to do so because it provides a security blanket and society tells them that they should.

    FAR 4/9/12- PASSED
    BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
    AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!
    REG-12/6/12 PASSED

    USC MAcc- Fight on!

    They say good things come to those who wait, but only those things that are left by those who hustle.

    @ KellyP

    I am really sorry that happened to you. Hang in there and keep focusing on CPA. Everything happens in the right time, I believe.

    @mgoloubenko

    Right on about relationships. Every day I see the challenges why young people tend to rush into relationships/marriages. I think often things would be so much easier if I moved in with my bf or we got married, etc etc…. but I know it the long run it will better waiting for such things. Some people do it and it works out great, others not the same story. Everyone is different yes, but I agree with what you posted.

    CA CPA - All because of the journey listed below
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    FAR - 53('10), 8/25/12 79 PASSED!
    REG - 66('11), 69('12), 12/06/12 77 PASSED!!
    BEC - 58('10), 74('12), 01/05/13 77 PASSED!!!
    AUD - 43('11), 66('12), 69('13), 74('13) 7/29/13 85 PASSED!!!!!

    I have a FWB that complements well with the grueling hours of studying.

    I actually broke up with my girlfriend when I found out I had failed AUD last year. It was a bad relationship though and it was going to happen anyway. Of course, I didn't admit that I had ended the relation because I wanted to focus on the CPA exam. But she was not really supportive and everytime I suggested just hanging out at my place and watch TV so I could get some studying done, she would turn down the idea and wanted to go out.

    A relationship is between 2 people. If one of them gives more than the other, it will never work.

    Thanks everyone for all of the great advice!!! I think it is so true. In a way it's a good thing because we were together for almost a year and I'm so lucky to have found this out now. I'm emotionally and financially stable and so fortunate to have a job that I love and I can see now that there are couples out there who make it through much tougher issues then studying šŸ™‚

    @dumguy – I definitely agree that we need a single and mingle section! šŸ˜›
