I wasn't apart of the original conversation, but the few comments I read were fun to read. Met my husband when I was 20, we're from two totally different backgrounds. He's waited tables most of our 14 years together as a second job. He's a hair stylist by trade, but him working two jobs has helped me get through undergrad, graduate school, and now the CPA without ever feeling like I'm not devoting enough attention to him. Sometimes we are like two ships passing in the night with the three full time jobs, the CPA/school, and 4 children combined, but we work well together. I think if he were a CPA I would despise him. I love that he has a job he loves where he doesn't have to work in a cubicle and deal with corporate crap all day long. It keeps us well grounded to have different experiences to bring to the relationship. Besides there is nothing more entertaining than listening to the stories of the 20 year olds that work at both his jobs and the ridiculous drama they put themselves through on a regular basis. You wouldn't get that listening to someone talk about accounting/auditing/tax coworkers. šŸ™‚
