so I better have passed AUD!!!! š As supportive as my boyfriend said he was he really just couldn’t handle the study hours. Has anyone else had a similar situation?

First post on the site, and this thread caught my eye.
My wife gets really down all the time because I am studying about 3 hours a night minimum (I also work 50 hours a week as a senior accountant for a public REIT), and then I spend most of the weekends at the library so I can concentrate. It's really tough on both of us, but she always says, “I know you are doing this for both of us, so even though I don't like it, I understand.” If the person you are with isn't supportive enough to ride it out with you, then they don't deserve you and they aren't the one. Trust me.

Cant understand how such grown up men/women can act so immature.If they cant support you through an exam forget abt getting through life with them.My 3 yr old gets it when i say mommy is busy.She sits next to me with her coloring book and says mommy am busy too.

@10YRS – I don't understand either, but I guess it just comes with different life goals and work ethic. Your daughter sounds pretty adorable that is so cute! My son only gets video games on the weekend so if he's playing & I'm listening to videos he's happy if I'm in the room lol

A good support system is so important. I'm here to vent because I try not to vent to my bf. He doesn't quite get it, but he's been a champ dealing with me during this process. He isn't even a CPA, or aspiring CPA. We have set date nights so I know Saturday nights are set aside for him. He's even handled the occasional unscheduled I'm entering freak out mode and need to not stare at my Beckerbooks tonight or I will end up crying into a pint of Ben and Jerry's.
I understand that I am incredibly lucky. I just want it to serve as a reminder that there are people that don't go through a process like the CPA and can still understand. For those that don't get it…good riddance. There are plenty of people out there who would be willing to be there for you.
