However, I do feel the need to add that I, too, am having slight CPA issues studying with the gentleman-friend. He seems to think that studying all day for several days in a row is not effective at all, and although he is trying to act supportive, he just does not get how difficult this test is. We're not gonna break up, but I think the hard truth is this: unless someone's gonna take it, or is studying for it, they just DO NOT understand the magnitude, importance, or difficulty of this test and they never fully will. The best they can do is be supportive and not try and draw their own conclusions about what you should be doing or what's appropriate for it.
Kelly, your ex is an ass-hat for breaking up with you over this, but don't let it get you down. As a previous poster said, MUCH more difficult things will come your way and the one who's worth it will stick with you through way more than just this. š
