I’m ready to purchase my study materials, again, after being out of school for 3 years (and first review materials are out of date). The question is, since I am getting started so late in the year, would it be silly to purchase an entire 2014 review course if I may not take all the sections in 2014? (I plan to take at least two this year, and the remaining two in the first half of 2015.) Any thoughts?

I don't know about all review courses, but I know Yaeger offers to send only the section(s) you want now and will send other, updated sections later when you're ready. I did the same thing late in the year, getting only FAR and waiting for the following year for the other 3 sections.

Get on your local craigslist.

You'll find ample used materials for sale at very low prices. Use those to get started. Some, but not all are going to be dated in certain areas. Just Limit them to 2012-13

Just use them to jump start your preparations and when 2014 rolls around, you can buy updated materials.

With Becker you can do the same thing, buy the 4 sections but have them send only the parts you need. I would go with a course that comes with free updates as well.
