Is there such a thing as too much study time?

I like to make a study schedule before I start studying . I feel it helps me stick to studying and not get behind because I am the world’s worst procrastinator. I have BEC and REG coming up. For BEC, I started studying this past Monday, 8/26, and my exam is 10/12. The way my schedule works out, I have exactly 3 weeks review time after covering all the material in Becker. Does anyone think that’s not good or maybe too much? I also have that much review incase of situations where I can’t study a particular day so I can have some cushion at the end. For REG, I will start studying 10/16 and my exam is 11/26. I feel like that one is just fine. I have 18 days scheduled for review on that one. Any opinions on my BEC schedule?

    FAR: 79 (Becker basic)
AUD: 68 (Becker basic), 91 (Becker, WTB, NINJA)
BEC: 64 (blind), 81 (Becker, WTB, NINJA)
REG: 68 (Becker basic), 73 (Becker, WTB, NINJA), REMATCH 2/27

My only thought would be that it sounds like you have more time for BEC than for REG, and it looks like your base knowledge in BEC is greater than your base knowledge in REG, given that you scored 64 without studying for BEC, and 68 after studying for REG. So, based on that, I might move BEC up a week or so, and have 2 or so weeks of review time, and therefore have a bit more review time for REG.

As to whether it's too much or not…depends on how your memory works. My usual goal is to have 2 weeks' review time, because after the couple of messed-up study days, that still usually comes out about right for me. But, you're the best judge for you based on your past experience. How long did you review for FAR, AUD, and REG the first time around? Do you feel like that was adequate or inadequate?

too much studying is any amount of studying that leads to a score above 75.

I'm in almost the exact situation as you… just started studying for AUD. I'm taking AUD 10/2 and REG on 11/26. I had a really busy week so I'm behind in AUD, but I'm trying to catch up. Studying with Becker, I give myself one week for every 2 chapters, and then add 2 weeks to review (slash make up for lost time). Doing this, I had one extra week to add to either REG or AUD. I chose REG because it's covers more material (more Becker chapters, at least)… hopefully I can take care of AUD in time. My review weeks are key for me and when everything finally comes together.

    FAR 7/3/13 - 82
    BEC 8/21/13 - 82
    AUD 10/2/13 - 92
    REG 12/3/13 - 88

@lilla well, I need to adjust my study description for REG. I watched the lectures for all the material but only got through a little less than half of the homework with no previous tax experience.

    FAR: 79 (Becker basic)
AUD: 68 (Becker basic), 91 (Becker, WTB, NINJA)
BEC: 64 (blind), 81 (Becker, WTB, NINJA)
REG: 68 (Becker basic), 73 (Becker, WTB, NINJA), REMATCH 2/27

I would agree with @Goucho, although it takes an exam or two to feel out the right amount of time to study to feel prepared. I assume you're working full time and studying? I would emphasize that the more time that elapses between the first chapter you study and the first time you review that first chapter, to the day of the exam, the more difficult it is to remember (does that make sense?) I would devote one week for all of my exams for review (studying full time), and that was PLENTY of time.

    FAR (5/28/13) - 80
    REG (7/6/13) - 82
    BEC (8/5/13) - 86
    AUD (8/31/13) - ?
