It seems that after 3 hrs (i take break after every hour for about 10-15 mins) my brain just goes into i am tired leave me alone mode. I can contine studying i notice that i am wasting my time and i am not absorbing any information

I can go outside take an hour break and come back in feeling refreshed but next thing i know i will be tired after 20-30 mins this time.

I am just wondering if this is normal because i see people on here who study 7-8 hrs?

I am the same. Which makes it more important to study every day a little bit. I also do MC on lunch. For me at about the 2-3hr mark I start to get very bored with the material. Knowing this I also spaced out the exams to give myself enough time which might've been 8-9 weeks. 4-6 weeks is absolutely not enough time for me.

When I did try to study 6+ hours I felt like I only retained about 20% of what I was doing and ended up mentally exhausted. If you stop after reading a paragraph and realized you were mostly daydreaming it is time to stop.

I find that 3 hours a day is where I start to hit the point of diminishing returns. I'll do an hour before work, 45 mins to an hour at lunch, and a 2 hours or so at night after work. I can feel myself losing focus during the night sessions (which reminds me – that's exactly what I'm doing now!)

    REG: 81
    AUD: 76

I try to stick with whatever I'm doing for a solid 90 minutes and then take a break. I usually do about three hours each morning before work (I go in at ten) and then do light studying at night (videos, MCQ while chilling with my husband). But I'm also taking about 3 months per section. On the weekends I can usually do more like six hours spread out each day.

If it works it works. I study full time but only 3ish hours a day for 4 weeks each part. Every brain works differently.

I did about 3 hours a day on weekdays, tried to do 6 hours inconsistently on weekends. I did manage 12 hours on Saturday before the test, just plain multiple choice

    FAR: 2/23/14 77 (1 month studying)
    AUD: 5/25/14 68
    AUD: 7/13/14 72
    AUD: 10/12/14 72
    I GIVE UP

I'd say that's very normal. I also try to do about 3-4 hrs a night, taking a quick break about once an hour (am currently on a break about to start hour #4 tonight). Working full time and having 3 kids all age 5 or younger makes it really hard for me to always find the time, but I just try my best to tough it out till 12-1 in the morning studying…and then waking up by 4:30-5 to get ready for work. I'll be so glad when this is all over!!

    FAR - 75
    AUD - 72; 87
    REG - 64; 74; 84
    BEC - 88

    Done!!
