-Listening only to Ninja FAR Audio in my car

-Flipping through flashcards while on boring phone calls

-Reading Ninja Notes on my iPhone in checkout lines

Every minute that you can convert into study time puts you that much closer to the finish line!!! 5 minutes here and there adds up quickly to an extra 20-30 minutes per day when you think about it. Let’s make every minute count! 🙂

How do YOU squeeze in extra study time?

Use the pomodoro technique to keep track of my 15 minute breaks and pump out MCQ's in Wiley. I read my flashcards on the way to work when I am commuting. I discuss some of the new concepts I learned with the CPA I commute with, he thinks I am going to pass this time. I had my husband quiz me on my flashcards on a 3 hour drive to a wedding. I keep my Wiley book, flashcards, and NINJA notes with me at all times. I bought a large bag and have my lunch in it, purse in it, and study materials.

(This is embarrassing but true!!) I have a 2nd set of NINJA notes printed out and in my bathroom, I study them while I potty. Hey don't laugh, it's being efficient!!!

I listen to NINJA or read NINJA on my commute, I try to listen or read right before bed. I try to read notes every time i have a split second to open them on my phone, but in all honesty i wish i did it more often!

Jennifer241 – I was going to say are we allowed to talk about bathroom time! HAHA!

    Great post with good ideas!

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

Listen to Ninja Audio every day when commuting to and from work.

Doing MCQ's on my ipad on my lunch break, when my stupid computer at work decides to reboot and i have to “wait” for it to start up again.

Talking to my husband in CPA lingo esp in “AUD” which makes him giggle.

@Jennifer & @Lsnyc that is efficient and effective use of your time, no judgment here!!! 🙂 I agree that Ninja on commute is clutch and big tool in converting useless time into study time.

I've also been using my Apple TV to put Ninja Blitz on our living room TV when I need a break from doing MCQS in my office! It's a nice way to veg out on the couch guilt free but yet still be studying.

    Great ideas everyone!!!! 🙂

I had the flashcards on my phone so if I was waiting for a meeting, on a bus to a meeting, waiting in line at the grocery store etc I could go through a few flash cards.

I also listened to the NINJA audio while walking my dogs and at the gym and had it playing in my house when I would clean. Also while at work.

For concepts I was having an especially hard time with I wrote out short and sweet post it notes about it and put them around my house in areas I frequented…kitchen, bathroom mirror, near the door so I would see it and give it a quick read.

Oh…also flipping through flashcards right before I went to bed.

    * I keep flashcards on my desk at work and flip through them while I'm waiting for documents to finish scanning or files to finish uploading.

@neika822 – You are not alone. I do not study every second I can spare. Maybe why I am still chasing Audit down, but I would go flipping crazy! I wake up get ready, drive a short drive to work, study, work, study during work, short drive home, eat and then study before bed every day………. I treasure my 15 minute drive listening to MUSIC!

I try to listen to the audio on my commutes, and most days I DO, but every now and then I just want to listen to music, haha. But I definitely do not do flashcards at any spare moment.

I've actually been doing a very poor job of studying this summer. I can't see myself passing FAR. My own fault. This weather is just so enticing!! I was better in the winter, when I didn't even want to step outside. But it's going to suck having to study for it all over again, so I need to keep reminding myself. Maybe I should jump on board and study every.chance.possible.

    Good luck, everyone!!

I am taking a vacation day tomorrow. I plan to sleep until I wake up naturally and then hit the books! FAR in 18 days!

@Neika You still have time to launch a comeback on FAR!!! If you go hard core and put in 4-5 hours on weekdays and 8-10 hours on weekends you could give yourself a fighting chance! You could study like crazy until the 31st and then make a determination if it's worth a shot or to push it back into late August.

I started last week streaming blitz videos on my ipad while I get ready for work in the morning! That's an extra 20-30 minutes of found study time!

Also, I moved my hours to 7:30-4:00 so my commute is tremendously better (30 minutes instead of 60-75) and I have the house to myself longer before my husband comes home from work! It's also helping tremendously in my work life as I have more time to get things done before the peanut gallery shows up and clients start calling.

    Keep it up everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

Thanks for the motivation, @Mints! Unfortunately, I did end up rescheduling for an additional two weeks. I figure I'll get the MCQ's done this week (hopefully even before the week ends) and then have a good week + weekend to review. I might also follow your lead on watching Blitz in the morning! Good idea 🙂

@Neika I gave myself some extra time on FAR also, so don't feel bad about it!!! I greatly underestimated how much time it takes to get through the final review of all the topics and tighten up weak areas; FAR is such a beast!!!! In the long run 2-3 extra weeks of prep and getting it done right the first time is so much better than rushing in, failing, dealing with the stress of failing, restudying, and having to wait until October to try again!

Keep squeezing in the extra minutes and keep at it! You can do this!!!!!! 🙂
