    Congratulations for all who have passed the Exam…

    But my day has just been miserable… This is so heartbreaking.. I studied AUD with Becker 2012 video, and I read the 2013 Becker version B ebook, and I made like 10 pages note for each chapter I studied.. The whole studying process was about 3 weeks full-time.. I did most of the MCQ in the software, but I did not do the SIM until the last minute.. and yes. I ONLY GOT A 66….. :'(

    I heard AUD was the easiest exam among the 4 to a lot of people, but it is definitely not in my case.. I really do not know what my problem was, maybe it was just too much boring things to memorize, and I crammed for it??? I admitted that I did not have a clear head when I walked in the exam centre, and I felt very bad walking out… However I heard other people said the same thing too, but they passed.. I meant I had nothing to blame on but myself.. I really think the main problem is that I tried to take in so much overwhelming information in such a short period time.. as I had no auditing background at all..

    I am very discouraged now, I am sure no one likes the feeling of FAIL. I don’t know what I should do the next. As I have other priorities right now, and I would not be able to study until late January.. As I took my BEC in Nov 2011, so it would be expire in June I guess? (the exam expires 18 months from the score releasing date right??)

    Should I purchase Becker 2013 videos, and restudy everything? Or Should I try other materials?

    Thank you very much for your help…

    @FightingCPA..

    I would continue with the Becker material as it is very normal to fail this section. Audit is the toughest one to get through if you have no Audit work experience (it always has the lowest passing rate).

    You may just had a bad day and couldn't execute during exam. Keep trying and never give up,

    AUD - 78
    BEC - 83
    REG - 82
    FAR - 82 (11/22/2013)I am done!!!!!

    I didn't pass my first try, but passed on the retake. I added Ninja Notes, Ninja Audio, and the Wiley Test Bank to my studies. I read through the book and took pages on notes either on the Ninja Notes or separately. I listened to the Audio to and from work until I could practically recite it verbatim. I took notes on the MCQ that I got wrong. Two weeks before the test I condensed and rewrote my notes in combination with the Ninja Notes. I practiced all 41 of the WTB SIMS. I have no idea which of those things helped me pass the retake, but I can tell you 100% that leaving myself 2.5 hours for the SIMS and searching EVERY SIM in the Authoritative Literature made a difference.

    Just let you know I am in the same situation. I passed FAR and BEC first try,but only got 65 on AUD. I think right now I am going to reread Becker textbook thoroughly and do Wiley TB. Don't feel bad, and I am sure there are ppl out there just like us. Pick up the materials and start to have dates with it. Good luck on your retake and I am sure we will pass this!

    Xenia,

    I dont know who told you audit is easy, but its certainely not. In my books its the most difficult exam to take thats why its given 4 or 4.3 hrs.

    You really need to read the call of the question, instead of picking the right answer, i would try to eliminate ABCor D by reasoning and that way you know you are answering them correctly.

    Dont be fooled by audit, i passed it on the 2nd try, but it will require some good understanding and some thoughtful thinking on exam day, specially planning, Internal control and substantive procedures.

    Goodluck on the next try.
