I don’t find the value in writing notes, because it takes too much time. I would rather spend all that time studying the textbook or doing MCQs.

I am using CPAExcel and WTB.

What’s the benefit in writing all those notes, and then reviewing them?

    FAR - 76
    AUD - 75
    BEC - 75
    REG - 76

Now I need some experience!!! And some networking...

I am new to taking the exams, even though I have studied 3 different times for around a month in the last year, so I can't say if my method works. I have been taking notes on the Becker book in a google drive spreadsheet and importing them in the form of flashcards to my phone.

The note taking process is like six hours per chapter if i am lucky. However once I start reviewing the flashcards I master the chapter pretty fast from an academic level. Still got to do all those questions.

I am concerned that if I just go straight to the questions without having like 90 percent retention of the reading materials that I will be mistaking educated guesses for complete understanding of the materials. Again I do not qualify as a successful cpa test taker at this point, so feedback or study suggestions will always be appreciated.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"
