Hi everyone. I am an international candidate and posted a few weeks ago on which exams to take at the same time since I can’t exactly buy plane tickets for every time I need to sit the exam. I have since decided to take FAR and AUD together, then BEC and REG.

I am almost finished with my final auditing course to be eligible to sit for the exam, which I’m very excited about.

I currently work as an accountant at a private company however I am looking to make the move to public accounting even though I will earn less. Now, in the country that I live in, making USD $1000 take home is pretty much the norm for even a few years out of college unless you’re a doctor or a lawyer (yes I know it’s terrible but it’s what we have to work with so imagine what I’ll earn if I make the move to public). This is why I can’t give up this second job or I won’t be able to pay for the exams and study material.. or life.

Sorry for the long intro, I just wanted to give all the information so that I can get more informed answers. My life is probably the equivalent to having children with a full time job so what I want to know is how did you guys do it? Or how would you do it if this was your situation? I work 8:30 to 6 regularly. Then every night of every day. Weeknights are about 4 hours, weekends range from 7-10 hours per night.

I’m already feeling demotivated but I REALLY want to become a CPA.

    HELP!
