    I took Aud 3 times, just received a 69!

I have really done my very best! I read both the roger and wiley books twice! Worked on all the MCQ in wiley book and WTB, and been scoring in the 90s!

I feel so stucked now. I don’t know what to do. I don’t even know how I got 69!

Should I keep taking Aud or take a break and move on to other section first? I scheduled FAR on July 2nd.

If you're getting stuck in the SIMs make sure to give yourself time to fully utilize the AL. I was able to use this to my advantage, I think I found almost all the information I needed for 2-3 SIMs.

Audit is a big memorization exercise with its own definitions of what things mean. It has a lot of nonsensical rules, so you have to throw everything you think makes sense and throw it out the window.

I needed a mental break between Audit tests to regroup and figure out better ways to retain the info. I think the journal entries are the easiest part. It's trying to figure out what you need to know that's hard.

I did Aud-Bec-Aud-Far-Reg-Aud. The last time I took it, I supplemented with ninja audio and made my own ninja notes from the audio (word-for-word). I used cpaexcel and WTB, it was nice having 2 test banks to study from. I did all of the MCQs in study mode so I could see the correct answers right away and click on the incorrect answers to see why they were wrong.

    Audit sucks.

Lyliana, I was wondering if you could please tell me what do you think is the issue with Roger CPA? I was under the impression that it was the best review course for Audit, and I wanted to get it for my next exam. I have Becker but I don’t feel that they teach Audit in a way that you will understand it if you are not a recent grad.

Audit was my first exam and I used Becker. I had Becker final review and Becker flash cards but never had time to use them (won a scholarship while at school so flash cards and final review were free). I also had Wiley and only used it for a couple of topics. Mostly, for me, it was Becker regular review course. I read the book twice, redid the MCQs abt 3-4 times and sims twice. I also bought Ninja audio…I listened to it a lot whenever I was on the road. I had to take a 7 hour road trip towards the last 2 weeks before exam and listened to it a couple of times then.

I think understanding the material really helped me figure out why I am getting the correct and the wrong answers.

I spent abt 6-7 weeks on Audit which might be a lot for some ppl but I take longer than an average person to understand and retain info. My review was very comprehensive as well. Although 4 days before the exam, I was so drained, I to take time off from studying for 2 days…

I am hoping the same strategy works for the rest of my exams. Good luck to you and I am sure if you keep pushing you will pass!!! This is a very challenging journey no doubt!

Added Ninja Notes/Audio/Flashcards and utilizing the AL for EVERY SIM–raised my score 20 points and those are really the only things I remember changing. I listened to the Ninja Audio every time I was in the car by myself. I studied the flashcards at lunch and on breaks. I rewrote the Ninja Notes and my own notes. I found one ENTIRE SIM in the AL word for word–seriously. I would take it again before you move on, but I can definitely understand if you want the break and to study new material. I would also suggest getting a different study bank if you have used the same one for the last 3 tests in case you've started memorizing the questions/answers.

    @dowd and CPAmommy

I should have seen your post sooner.

I was struggling with TBS especially the question that requires some flexibility. I thought we use AL for research, not for other TBS. Ugh. No wonder it takes forever to memorize each “situation” given in the questions.

I am sitting for AUD tomorrow, tempted to push one more week but I will stick to my plan. see how it goes.

It's good to be back amongst friends. I'm back for a retake of expired AUD on May 26th.

Good luck beat_counter! You got this just remember to use AL for all SIMS if you are unsure…and if u have time left use AL on the ones you're not entire sure about.

    AUD - 75*, 88 done 5/14! (*exp)
    BEC - 74 , 77
    REG - 65 , 76 (10 point combooo!!)
    FAR - 69 , 75
