    @onmywaytocpa,

How did FAR go? I hope it went well. Best of luck on both FAR and REG. I am right behind you: 16 days till Audit. UGH. My arch nemesis. But hopefully not for much longer!!

I agree: come on passing scores !!

Haha I said the same thing….all i do are multiple choice questions!!! I think this is a better way for me to study even if it was over more than a month span!!! More multiple choice you do the less suprises you can see come test day!! I have 23 days left though so I think ill be in good shape!!

REG 10/01/2011- failed retake hopefully May 2012
    AUD 11/30/2011- failed retake 1/9/2012
    BEC 2/25/2012 -
    FAR-TBD

I have 18 days till FAR. Wondering if I should drop the lectures and work on MCQs. Maybe just watch the lectures I'm weak on. Or should I purchase a cram? Suggestions anyone??

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....
    AUD - 39, 48, 56, 65, 68, 73, 76!!! (Finally passed in Oct 2011!!!) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    REG - 75 (Lost Credit) 72, 68, 73, 75 (Passed again in Aug 2011) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    FAR - 65, 68, 75 (Lost Credit) 68, 73, 73, 80 (Passed again in May 2012) Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
    BEC - 65, 68, 71, 72, 72, 71, 76 (Lost Credit)- 70, 76!!!! I AM DONE!!! - Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
After 10 long years of studying, I AM DONE!!!! Finally a Licensed CPA in the State of New York!!

same question here as jomarie! I have the yaeger homestudy and am half way through and I also have the cram. Would it be a bad idea to watch the cram instead to allow more time for MCQ? This is my first time taking FAR however.

I honestly think Yaeger should shorten their lectures. It seems like every year, their lectures are getting longer and longer. For FAR, their lecture is about 51 hours. Not everyone has the time for that. I find that watching these videos takes a lot of time and patience.

But once you do finish watching the videos, I don't think there's any need to have to watch them again. Dive right into MCQs and keep going until your exam date.

@ rmm… I'm also a Yaeger user and I think you should watch the lecture for those major sections and work on as many mcq and SIMs as possible. I would not purchase CRAM as this is your first time at FAR and you should at lease try to take it once before purchasing the CRAM. Good luck!

    AUD - 83 Feb11
    REG - 75 May11
    BEC - 73 July11 84 Oct11
    FAR - 63 Aug11 76 Feb12 I'M DONE!!!!!

I have about 13 hours remaining with Roger's regular review course. I was orginally planning on watching the remaining of the videos by Friday, then work insane amount of MCQs for the final 2 weeks. And of course review Jeff's NINJA notes.

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....

I agree the lectures are so long! I guess I will just keep plugging through the homestudy. I am hoping that 2 weeks of straight MCQs will be enough for me! Zizoty I already have the cram. I don't think I will have time to watch it though. I was thinking of watching the cram instead of the remaining lectures I have left.

@ yankee, FAR went pretty well for me. I had some trouble with the sims but I'm still predicting a passing score. The MCQ's were not bad at all, the Wiley testbank pretty well prepared me for almost all of them. The sims? Not so much…

I felt like the wording on the sims was so ambigious that it left me questioning if I was interpreting the question the right way, even after reading it about 5-7 times. They were also unlike any of the sims that I did for Wiley or my review course Lambers. But after breaking them down into small little chunks they were really not so bad and I was confident that I had at least some of them right.

Thanks for the well wishes! And good luck on Audit! You'll do great!

    B - 79 PASSED (1/4 there!)

jomarie – in the past I would watch hour after hour of the lectures, even though I had seen them several times. I would not leave enough time for the mcq's. I started thinking I don't think that is the most beneficial way to spend my time so I ditched the lectures…I especially would if I was you and you only have 18 days. I agree with Jeff's theory here of just focus on the mcq's as they teach you more than the lectures, do as many as possible because that is where you find all the tricks that they can throw at you, I didn't find much of that with the lectures…my personal experience.
