Hi guys, I took Far end of October, I felt I failed it….. The score release won’t be till 24th, i think.

I have to focus and move on to reg, which i scheduled to take Nov 29th.

It’s been hard to focus, I think I failed far, and feel beaten up and hard to study for reg. reg will be my last part if i pass far.

Can anyone share with me your experiences on how to focus in this situation? Thanks

I walked out of FAR positive that I had failed, but I was scheduled to take AUD two weeks after. It's really hard to stop thinking about your upcoming score release and focus on the next exam, but you just need to buckle down and keep the end goal in mind. FAR is in the past, there's nothing you can do about it right now.

If you spend your REG study time worrying about FAR, the chances you won't pass REG are higher. Then you'll have wasted your time and will be further behind.

If you didn't pass FAR, oh well. You'll take it again. If you did, it'll be a wonderful relief. The point is, you can't control it anymore, so focus on the task at hand, REG.

    AUD 79 (7/14)
    FAR 78 (7/14)
    REG 78 (8/14)
    BEC 81 (10/14)

Just assume you failed FAR. Take it easy this weekend to cope.

Then just move on to REG, assuming you failed FAR.

This last score release, I had two weeks between my AUD exam and score release. I really truly felt that I failed it and prepared myself to retake it next window. Then decided that since I failed one, then I definitely don't want to fail 2 in the same window. And just immersed myself into REG. After taking an exam, it's out of our hands at that point.Worrying and stressing about what's out of our control is counter-productive to what lies ahead of us. Since REG is your last part, completely throw yourself at it. When you pass FAR, you don't want REG to be the one that brings you down because you spent too much time worrying about FAR. You can do it! And personally, just for the sake of morale purposes, I wouldn't check your FAR score until you take REG on the 29th. My two cents.

    FAR 8/18/2014--87
    AUD 10/18/2014--78
    REG 11/24/2014--76
    BEC 2/28/2015--76

Mjganier's idea to not check the FAR score until taking REG is great, but I know that there is no way that I would have the willpower to do that!!

    MD Candidate: 10/1/14

    FAR - 87 (11/23/14)
    REG - 87 (1/30/15)
    BEC - 89 (4/19/15)
    AUD - 98 (5/30/15)

    Ethics - 100

It gets easier with time. Same thing happened to me when I took FAR in April; I had to wait over a month for my score, meanwhile I had AUD in 6 weeks. It definitely hampered my studying. This time around when I took REG, I actually completely forgot scores were being released this past Monday morning and went through my entire morning routine without thinking about it.

tl;dr: Get a couple exams under your belt and it won't preoccupy your thoughts anymore.

Thanks all, for the first couple of days, i was fine with it, but now I just started to worry about it. You guys are right, it's sunk cost, there's no good coming out of worrying about sunk cost i guess. I just have to bite the bullet and study.
