How to cheer up your spouse when they are preparing CPA tests?

Well, I got my license in Nov 2013 but my husband is still working on the tests. Now I feel like I should do something to help him or cheer him up but I really don’t know how…After passing the tests, I want to go shopping and movies with him but I feel bad because it seems I waste his time indirectly. But if I do nothing, I feel bored…

Does anyone here have some ideas about this situation??

I would just say support him with all of the study time he needs so he can pass the exam ASAP.

    FAR- 85 I'm DONE!
    BEC- 75
    REG- 60,60,75
    AUD- 74,74,83

CPAExcel used for BEC, AUD, REG
Exam Matrix used for FAR plus NINJA Blitz, cpareviewforfree and a little CPAExcel

How about you go out with family or friends while he studies so he has peace and quiet…don't make him feel guilty for not hanging out when you have already passed…or you can help with his weak areas since you have the exam experience

    Florida:
AUD: 73, 81! Thank you Lord!
BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB
REG: 71, 82! Thank you Lord! and A71
FAR: 72, 78! Thank you God and my Mommy in Heaven!

Just redefine “hanging out” from movies and malls to flash cards and MCQs. You just finished the exam yourself, so the material isn't foreign to you. Two birds with one stone: help him study = hanging out.

Boring? Sure, but you've been in that dark place before while studying, so you can commiserate.

@ Shan I came on this post to reply and just noticed your score on Audit, Well I am struggling with Audit esp sims any tips or advice please.Already attempted 3 times stronger/comparable on MCQ and Weaker on Sims.I do make use of AL for sims like many ppl say but for some of the sims its of no help.

And as far as any advice for your situation, you can watch movies or follow your favourite shows of course keep the tv volume down. When your spouse is taking breaks go out for little shopping trips and see to it that its timed you dont wanna spend too much time outside.Retail therapy can be best stress busters.

Also since you have passed the test you can do flash cards with him it works great, My husband is from IT and when I was preparing for BEC he used to do the flashcards for IT with me.Some of the stuff he explained me sticked to my head well.

    Good Luck

FAR- 79 -->Becker self study, Final review & Flashcards
REG -72-->Becker ,76-->Becker plus Wiley test bank
    AUD- 73 Becker,72-->Becker+Wiley,69-->Added ninja notes,89 --> Added Gleim review
BEC- 84 Becker plus Wiley Test bank

    I am Done !!!!

@nishvik-Thank you for your tips!! 🙂 last time, I went out to watch movie in the cinema alone because I felt guilty to watch it home but when I came home and saw his depressed face, I felt more guilty…aaaaa, drove me crazy~

    OK, back to business-

For AUD, with the previous experience, well, I didn't read most part of my book but only special report and other assurance services parts which were my weak parts. I focused on going through all the slides in the CPA excel since they summarized the key points of the chapters so I can speed up.I bought CPA review for free for MCQs and updated Ninja notes. So I did tons of MCQs to practice… What really helped me is Wiley test banks which you have already bought. It really gave me all the details I needed for my tests. But generally, I think, to pass AUD, you really need do a lot of questions…Personally, I feel WTB is harder than the actual tests. So if you feel some questions are very frustrating, don't worry about it too much!

As you mentioned, you are weak on Sims. But I think if you can do A LOT OF MCQs, it can help you build more solid foundation so it will directly improve your Sims.

    Hope it helps!
