I’m planning to take REG in July after studying full-time in June. Is 5-6 weeks enough for this? My family is trying to plan a big vacation for late July and I would like to take the exam before then.

I am giving myself about eight weeks, but I don't like to crunch or rush. I am also studying full time. I would like to hear what others say too.

From my observation of colleagues and other exam takers, the average person who works full time can take these exams in 6-8 weeks. So if you're studying full time, 5-6 weeks should be good.

I'm giving myself about 6-7 weeks to study full time for REG. Basically, using Becker I will cover 2 Units per week for the first four weeks. Review like crazy for the remaining 2-3 weeks.

I used Becker and I studied Chapters 1 & 2 which took me about two weeks. I only study on the weekends.

Then I took a 2 week vacation from work and crammed Chapters 3-8. And I was able to review and do the AICPA practice simulations the day before my test. I passed with an 82.

I don’t have any tax work experience and I took one tax class in college about 8 years ago! I would say this was my toughest exam. Good luck!!

I'm taking 5 weeks to prepare for REG starting in June with a July 16 test date. From what I've heard, it's entirely possible. Besides preparing for FAR, I think a reasonable cram session for the other 3 exams can range between 3-5 weeks for each exam depending on one's ability to dedicate quality study time during those weeks.
