I've taken 10 exams and originally passed 2 but I've lost credit (cue the violin because my state didn't care that I was waiting for test scores for 5 months and lost credits during that time). Best case scenario, it will have taken me 14 exams to pass.

Oops, I counted the NTS already issued. I've taken 9 so far.

Props to those people who continued onward with multiple fails – your perseverance is inspiring. I know someone who failed twice and considered giving up even though they barely studied. I have only taken 5 exams (passed two, waiting on one score) and it has been one of the most difficult processes I have ever endured. The delayed score release has put it on a whole ‘nother level too.

I started in 2010. Took BEC & REG, failed both, threw my books in the dumpster.
Regrets. BIG regrets. I never let go of the fact that I gave up on myself. I told myself I couldn't do it, and I believed it.
I returned to the CPA in Oct 2016. Failed BEC twice. FINALLY passed one (REG on the 2nd try). Then passed BEC on the 3rd try & Audit on the 1st try.
Last weekend, I took FAR for the 3rd time. So….11 attempts for me! Hoping and praying that last Saturday will be the last time!

Stick with it. I wish we could all be these amazing people who pass all sections on the first try, but I know that I am not that person. I was never a solid test taker. I always showed up to every class and gobbled up every point of extra credit possible – just so that I could fail the final exam and still get an A. Obviously, this strategy in my past college life is not benefiting me today. Lesson learned. Big time.

Regardless, the CPA is just like a marathon. I never thought I could do that either, but I did. If you train hard enough, you can do it. Sometimes there are set-backs, but if you want it bad enough, you will work through the pain and finish strong.

You just have to keep going. Accept the failures. Deal with it. Learn from it. Move on. Get stronger. Get smarter. Kick ass.

Took the exam 12 times, never passing on my first try. Started back in 2013 and finished in 2017. In order of passing:

Aud : 6 (didnt know how to study the right way / didnt take it as seriously as I should have / kept getting 73s)
REG : 2 (hammered home key concepts second time around went from 67 to 80)
BEC : 2 (was on bubble second time when passed. Written portion is huge factor not to be taken lightly)
FAR : 2 (studied my ass off during busy season and post busy season as I was up against 18 month window

Couldn't have done it without NINJA! =)

    0/3.

    0/2 FAR.
    0/1 BEC.

It's difficult but I'm so moved by everyone's determination. I will keep going.

I’ve taken it 14 times. Far 5x, BEC 4x, REG 3x, and AUD 2x. I’d be lying to you if I said I didn’t want to give up. But after a while it got personal and it was no longer about the exams. Never had I failed so much and so hard. I wasn’t going to let 4 exams get the best of me. Fortunately I passed them all and these exams are behind me. I would never in my life wish to take them again but because of these exams and throughout the whole ordeal I was able to learn more about myself and push my limited. Like Chilichil said “Don't give up, don't ever give up”.

@mtaylo24 Congrats on passing all four parts! I remember we were bouncing questions off of each other when I was trying to pass FAR and BEC back in Jan – Feb 2017, before the new exams hit.
