Regardless of the different papers, how many times have you guys sat for the exam so far?

Definitely need some moral support here!!

I have taken it for 6 times, passed ONE only!

Failing and getting back up is what makes us a CPA… if it was easy then anyone could do this! not the case, it takes perseverance to be who we are, to put ourselves “voluntarily” through this!

Let's feel proud of each time we sit for an exam, regardless of outcome score…. I know by experience as I've also experienced a couple fails……

I've taken 7 and passed 2. I took BEC, REG and AUD right out of college many years ago. I don't have them listed in my signature, it was 9 years ago, so that is 3 of my 7. I've tried to block them out of my memory, but when waiting for scores, they cross my mind…

My journey started back in 7/2010 I did one NTS and scheduled all four exams, of which REG I was a no show. Studying was much harder than I thought it would be and so were the exams…. I failed BEC first with a 53, hardley studied for Audit, failed, didn't even open the book for FAR but sat, and decided to not waste my time and sit for REG at that time. NTS expired, I was pregnant and needed to take a break.

I had my 2nd son in May 2011 and decided to focus on one section of the exam till it was passed, Audit. I took it 11/29/2011 failed; 5/30/2012 failed; and then finally passed it 10/1/2013 (82). The large gaps were due to my lack of motivation and how busy I was at work and at home with two little boys. Now my boys are 5 and 3 and a little easier to manage. I was shocked when I got a pass in October for Audit. But for some reason I can't get passed BEC. I've taken it a total of 4 times, most recently 3. REG I took once and thought I passed but failed with a 68!! I would say for FAR I've never really attempted it because back in 2010 I never opened the book. Getting that one done and passed has motivated me, but these failed ones can bring you down. BEC is such a problem for me. I just hope I can get these next three passed as I only have 3 windows left to do it, well and April 1st if it came down to the wire. I REALLY HOPE NOT though! 🙂
