So far I have done FAR and AUD. For FAR my studying consisted of MCQ plus a couple MBA Accounting classes that I had recently taken. I just did Multiple choice questions for my studying and was able to pass barely. I am wondering what amount of multiple choice questions that one should do to be able to pass.

How much did you guys do, what additional studying did you do? Amount of MCQs I did was:

    FAR: 76

    MCQ: 2,500 Wiley Test Bank

Additional Studying: Recent MBA accounting classes, no task based simulations review

    AUD: 77

    MCQ: 3,500 Wiley Test Bank

    Additional Studying: None

@InsiWinsi, I got my MCQ #s from looking at WTB's cumulative report. My FAR number looks way too low. I must've deleted some practice sessions. I'm sure the actual figure was more on par with the other 3.

    REG - 89
    FAR - 84
    AUD - 73, 86
    BEC - 89

repeating questions is much better than doing a ton just once. Reinforcement is key

I took audit, and the number of questions does not matter once you get above a certain level(800 or so). The reason being for audit it's all about which sections can be learned by either questions or review materials/outlines. For example, sales and purchasing cycles for evidence are most necessary to do questions because it is totally situationally based. You need to know the goal of the auditor and see what is being accomplished, and a question gives you those facts. However, for acts dis credible to the profession, you can read over notes, get the understanding of concepts and themes, and not need 100 questions. So for me, I thought outlines on any of the cycles were redundant and weak. Questions were key. But for Tip sie acdo, or tip pie cdog as ninja describes, you are foolproof when it comes to any questions if you just know the material. Soo, if using this method appropriately you can get by with doing 600-1000 questions only

    Audit(11/5/13) - 89
    Reg(5/16/14) - 86
    FAR(7/18/14) - 82
    BEC(11/14) - 85

I did repeat mine. In REG I didn't get to repeat so this time I will make sure I will do the questions at least twice before I sit the exam 🙂

For AUD I did repeat twice and for BEC I didn't repeat but I was actually doing very well the first time round so it did help me pass the exam.

    FAR 05/27/14; 786/110 - Done !

At least 3000. A lot of repeats to get familiar with the material. Usually 30 or 50 at a time. Would review them, then move on to another session. After doing practice quizzes I would see where I needed improvement and work specifically on those areas.

    AUD - 5/30/14
