Hello all, please post how many MCQ’s you do per day and in total per section and if you took a section, also whether you passed or failed as a result.

I am trying to get a feel for whether or not I am doing enough MCQ’s in prep for BEC.

    Thanks!

~60 a night over two hours and I generally take a quick second run through over the sections I did that night to make sure I understood what I missed. This number usually rises to over 100 on the weekends, unless I'm doing SIMS.

Using Ninja MCQ, NINJA Notes, Audio, Flashcards and BLITZ, and 2014 Wiley Text

    FAR - (61,63)
    AUD - (68)

This weekend I plowed through 1000 Becker REG MCQ. I got 800 right and I have notes to review on all the ones I got wrong. I try for 100 on a weeknight and 300 to 350 on a regular weekend. It's helped me pass three of them!

My main problem is that I want to save some mcq that I've never seen for the very end of my review (like the last 3 weeks out of my 3-month studying window). That way I have a clean slate to guage my progress. So I end up doing a lot of the other ones over again a few times trying to cement the concepts.

CPA soon: Sorry buddy but you are not doing nearly enough MCQ's.

Amanda: purchase additional content? WTB, NINJA MCQ?

2,000+ for FAR per WTB and even more with Becker HWK.

    1,000+ for AUD… taking next

100 per day should be easily dooable, that's five 20 question tests….that's noting.

    AUD - 75*, 88 done 5/14! (*exp)
    BEC - 74 , 77
    REG - 65 , 76 (10 point combooo!!)
    FAR - 69 , 75

Depends on the person. MC only helps if you get something out of them. Going through a ton sounds like to me that you'd be memorizing the answers instead of applying concepts.

I ended up doing on average about 1600 MC per section (all sections but BEC). Doing some every day helps.

I also look at why my 2nd choice was wrong when I get questions right sometimes. Or even reading why you got it right helps cement the concepts.

IMO you can only absorb so much in a day. The most I've done in a day is maybe 120. It's more about the quality than quantity.

There are some questions I've memorized but mostly I read the question part of the question, say to myself: they're asking about medical deductions, which are valid? Pull the data that I need and see if my answer is there. I'd be surprised if I could memorize 1000+ MCQ. That would be a feat in and of itself! I'll find out Monday when I sit. I've spent the evenings this week going over my notes and the book for my weak areas. I'll spend the weekend doing progress tests and sims. Good luck everyone!
