Hello all, please post how many MCQ’s you do per day and in total per section and if you took a section, also whether you passed or failed as a result.

I am trying to get a feel for whether or not I am doing enough MCQ’s in prep for BEC.

    Thanks!

For audit I was doing so many questions per night, probably around 200 a night. I did all the Becker questions 2times and most of the wiley questions and would do 100Q progress tests during lunch at work – I failed audit the 1st time but I contribute some of that to 4th testing and quotas LOL – at least that's what I tell myself!

For Reg I did similar, a little less since the material was more familiar to me since that's closely related to what I do. – Passed first time

For BEC, ideally i'd like to be doing 100-150 a night bc im not as comfortable with the material but the math questions take so much time I find myself only being able to do 100 or so a night

    A - 75
    B - 78 God is good.
    F - 77 Answered prayers.
    R - 84! Done!!

Paperwork sent - waiting for license!!
Still on a cloud and in shock. Through God, all things will happen.

I do nowhere near as many as that. I do all of the Becker questions at least once and then supplement with Wiley for areas I don't feel comfortable with. For my review, I plan on doing all of the Wiley TB questions just to see new material. I do 10-20 question progress tests each day as well on a few different areas. I'm doing the Becker Final Review for FAR as well next weekend. All in all, I would say that I do about 2500 MCQs total for each section. If you do too many, at some point it becomes redundant and you're not getting value out of it.

AUD: PASSED [81]; Expired, retaking August 23rd
BEC: PASSED [83]; Expired, retaking July 11th
    REG: PASSED [83]
FAR: FAILED [64]; Retaking May 23rd

I've not tracked until my last exam (FAR) and I'm doing an average of 60 per day. I don't think it's enough even though I feel like I do as many as I possibly can.

    FAR- 85 I'm DONE!
    BEC- 75
    REG- 60,60,75
    AUD- 74,74,83

CPAExcel used for BEC, AUD, REG
Exam Matrix used for FAR plus NINJA Blitz, cpareviewforfree and a little CPAExcel

I learn great by doing MC. First run though I don't do them that fast because I really read the responses. But when reviewing I do 250+ a day, stopping and reading whatever i'm not 100% on.

Passed Far and Reg first try

On a good day I'll do 55-60, on a bad day it's like 20. I usually run short and end up doing like 600-800 questions and so far failed every attempt!

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

I do all the Becker questions at least once, then when all the modules are done I drill 1) AICPA released questions from 2006 to 2013 and 2) 30-question progress tests from all sections over and over and over. Of course, there are a lot of questions I'm sure I never saw more than once and a couple that came up five or six times, but I think it was effective.

    Hopefully.

    FAR: May 1st, 2014 - 91
    AUD: May 29th, 2014 - 97!
    BEC: July 16th, 2014 - 91
    REG: August 29th, 2014 - 88

My goal is to do all of Becker's MC twice but I slack off on some areas the 2nd time. I don't do the optional questions, progress tests or supplement with other MC test banks.

I'm a believer in knowing the information in the textbook well enough to handle any mc/sim they can throw at me. In my opinion MC are great to see how they are structured but it's like the law of diminishing returns. After awhile its better to just read from the source.

~60 a night over two hours and I generally take a quick second run through over the sections I did that night to make sure I understood what I missed. This number usually rises to over 100 on the weekends, unless I'm doing SIMS.

Using Ninja MCQ, NINJA Notes, Audio, Flashcards and BLITZ, and 2014 Wiley Text

    FAR - (61,63)
    AUD - (68)

    Keep Calm and RTMFQ

Accountant, what is best in life? To crush your MCQs, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their SIMS!
