I got a 71. I blame checking this site all day for my 71…. just kidding.

How many weeks do I need to restudy for the exam? Any one have any good tips for how to approach studying again?

Approach it as if you've never taken it before, start from scratch. You don't need 4 more points, you need 75 points.

I'm taking REG October 1st then retaking FAR on October 30th so that's about 4 weeks to restudy. Don't know what material you're using, but the second time around I'm:

    – skipping the Becker videos (pointless since I already wrote down all the notes)

    – adding NINJA notes, audio, and flashcards (I took advantage of the promo Jeff has going on: bought the complete audio and got the notes and flashcards for free)

    – actually reading the entire book as I retake notes instead of just the highlighted parts

    – creating a study guide dedicated to journal entries (convinced myself the answers would come to me during the exam… they didn't)

I agree with mla1169 that starting from scratch is best. If you can pinpoint things you didn't do the first time around/what tripped you up during the exam, that will help you figure out how to re-prepare. I don't know if I'll need the NINJA material for the other sections, but I figured there's no harm in having it just in case. Spending $300 now is a lot better than $1000+ over time to keep retaking the exam. Hope that helps. Good luck!
