I have five more weeks till audit and I don’t feel prepared at all. Bec took me 4 months to study for.

I’ve heard ranges from six months to 3 weeks. What is the average for each part?

Oh yeah, forgot one more thing. For motivation. The percent number you see only goes up when you have finished all the MCQs and Sims for a section. Usually it's like 1 or 2 sections = 1%. To be honest, that's my motivation. Get % now. Watch/Listen lecture for relaxation/shut-eye, rinse, repeat.

    FAR - 62 (10/2/13), 50 (5/30/14)
    AUD - 73 (10/30/13), 66 (5/6/14)
    REG - 69 (4/8/14)
    BEC - 66 (2/27/13), 73 (4/21/14)

yea ive been doing the questions in study mode but find redoing them in exam mode is not very helpful cuz i just end up memorizing the answers just to achieve an imaginary percentage

The thing I don't get about auditing is there is no reason for the chapter orders so I am not sure how ready I really am. Chapter 1 covers the basics then 19 seems to cover a lot of what chapter 1 covers again then when you get to chapter 20 it's governmental auditing? I don't know if it's just my prep software or what.

I would suggest taking AUD after FAR, other than that it's really a matter of preference. Personally, I would not suggest taking FAR or REG last, you'll be burned out at that point and those sections are very dense and full of lots of material.

You may not like it, but I have to say “As long as you know how it got there in the first place, that's all that matters.” Plus, it's pretty common that study material MCQs reappear on the exam, word for word, same answer. For example, I know for a fact that I got all my Gov't questions right because the question was EXACTLY the SAME thing. I laughed because that was my last section that I covered.

Not sure if this is a good advice or not, since I don't know my grade yet. So take it with a grain of salt. If I was to retake FAR again, I would probably study the parts that had the shortest amount of MCQs first and last (memory refresher). I might forget some of the harder topics, but it's not like the majority is based on the hard topics. It's spread out pretty evenly. As long as I get those easy points first, I'll use my time wisely on the harder ones.

    AUD - 73 (10/30/13), 66 (5/6/14)

I will end up taking Far or Reg last because it's too late now I already paid for auditing and Passed BEC. But I think for me taxes are going to be easier than auditing considering I didn't even know what analytical and substantive procedures were when I started studying. I only have book keeping experience and I've always been good with taxes.

I think the advantage of taking FAR last is if I pass the other ones quickly I should have a good 9-12 months to pass FAR.
