Help…what CPA Exam study course to choose?

I need help in deciding on a CPA Exam study course. I’m stuck between CPAexcel and Roger. I’m a wife, mother of 3 and I work full time. This is a goal of mine, but as the years pass I see it getting further away.

I enjoy the lecture style of Roger, but I like the unlimited access offered by CPAexcel. If anyone has tried either of these courses, please provide your feedback.

I have used Rogers and I picked him because I loved his fun style of teaching. His online program is for 18 months so enough time to study hard and pass the exam.

Also I didn't buy all the CPA courses at the same time with Rogers. I got one at a time so I never had to wory about it expiring.

I haven't used CPA excel so I will let someone that has comment.

I wasted $3K with Becker and only passed 1 out of 5 exams. Then took a hiatus to take care of new home and new baby. I am now using Wiley books, focus notes, and test bank. I have passed 2 of the 3 exams taken using these materials. I do not do well with lectures, so I suggest whichever course uses Wiley materials. Then again, you could buy the Wiley materials and ninja materials for a good price.

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!

I would just recommend buying one section at a time too. What looks good now might not work out later, and you won't want to be stuck with all four sections in a program that doesn't work for you. Also, you need every edge you can get, I highly recommend going in the suggested FAR, AUD, REG and BEC order. I believe it pays off to rid yourself of FAR first.

I'm using Roger now and I love the books, although I won't know until Monday how well they prepared me for BEC. The lectures are entertaining and provide a lot of good info, but be warned if you purchase Roger that he does move pretty fast. I actually stopped watching the lectures after getting halfway through the BEC material because I wasn't retaining much information, although that may just me and not the lectures themselves. But I think the books are definitely well worth the money. I actually have the Wiley CPAexcel 2014 books, as well, and they're pretty overwhelming. Roger breaks thing down in a much more concise and user-friendly manner.
