My BEC section is scheduled to expire late January 2017. This means I have to pass AUD, FAR and REG before then to avoid the loss of BEC. I took FAR recently and failed so I decided to switch things up and purchase NINJA materials based on many success stories. I can’t retake this section until January, so I put studying for FAR on hold.

I am scheduled to take AUD and REG in December. I plan to do MCQ daily for AUD from here until exam day using GLEIM. I am not sweating AUD since I have passed this section before and am tracking my MCQ score very carefully (yes it expired – FML). For REG, I will use NINJA materials exclusively – this is my first time with NINJA and feel like I have nothing to lose since I have tried other review systems (including Becker) and they haven’t worked for my personal learning style. I have three weeks to crank and pray for a miracle. The logic behind taking AUD and REG in December is to allow for any retakes in January. Ideally, I would pass AUD and REG next month and then allow for studying FAR in Dec/Jan using a combination of GLEIM and NINJA materials.

I am wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and can offer any advice. I work FT around 50 hours weekly but am studying daily. Should I move REG to January to give myself more time to study? Granted this would mean I am taking a huge risk if I don’t pass. This would mean I take FAR and REG in January and giving myself almost 2 months to study for both concurrently which I understand is a huge behemoth.

    Here are my options:
    1) Take AUD and REG in December and FAR retake in January.
    2) Take AUD in December and REG/FAR in January.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Here's what I would do:

    1. If you're feeling confident about passing AUD without much studying, do a couple of sets of 30 MCQs every day until your test day in December while studying for REG to stay sharp.
    2. Study REG like your life depends on it and take it as late as possible in December.
    3. As soon as you walk out of REG, start studying FAR. Take FAR as late in January as you are able.

In any event, your new hobby is studying. Find 30 hours a week to study at minimum.

In the event you fail either REG or AUD, push FAR back to the end of February and take your time preparing for it.

Kiss BEC goodbye and start over from scratch with a better plan. Otherwise you are going to waste a ton of time and money.
