    Hi

I got a Bachelor degree in a foreign country but I didn’t major in Accounting during my undergraduate study and I’m now in a US university studying master of accounting program.

Since I didn’t major in Accounting before. I can’t meet the 24 semester hours of accounting study to meet the requirement of sit an exam. But I’m sure to meet that after this semester ( I’ll graduate in December 2014).

My question is that can I apply for the exam right after these semester by providing the evaluation of my undergraduate transcripts and the transcripts of the first semester of my graduate accounting program? Since I really want to start the exam as early as possible.

    Thanks!

You should be fine if you meet all of the requirements after this semester, but you want to make sure your grades are posted to your transcript before you send them into your state board. Even if they're over, you haven't officially completed them until your grades show that you met all the requirements to earn the credits.

    BEC 7/12/13 - 84
    AUD 8/31/13 - 86
    REG 4/11/14 - 84
    FAR 5/30/14 - 88

@jdang1-I agree with Salad! I have had same issue as you. Once my accounting grades were posted to my official transcripts, I ordered from my school, sealed and sent to for the evaluation…

But to be honest, I thought I mailed to NASBA MA coordinators for the evaluation though….Sorry, I could be wrong…

    AUD-73, 73, 73, 79!!
    BEC-77!
    FAR-60, 83!
    REG-66, 72, 75!

@jdang Do you know that the CA requirements are in the process of changing? I haven't heard any really recent news, but last I heard, the requirements were changing effective Jan 1. So might want to make sure the requirements you're meeting are the correct set!

I agree with jennknee, the requirements to sit for the exam are not changed in California.

But to get licensed you'll need 150 credits and they have to be the right mix.
