Okay I feel like a nerd posting this, but I am so lost on what brand of noise cancelling headphones are the best ones out there to buy. I will be commuting on a noisy train and will need quietness to be studying/listening to lectures/watching videos on my tablet at the same time. I’ve looked at a few but are looking very expensive, and before I drop too much money, I was just curious, what does everyone use for headphones? Is anyone as picky as me?? I just can’t study with outside noise, drives me crazy!

    FAR: 79
    AUD: 81
    REG:5/29/15
    BEC:85

Using CPA Excel, NINJA notes and audio, NINJA MCQs

I wish I could bring my bose to the testing center. More comfortable and cancel more noise than the earphones at the testing center.

I wouldnt advise wearing noise canceling headphones on the train while traveling. You shouldn't use them to the point where they would make you unaware of your surroundings. I know I wouldn't anyway. I live in DC and some unexpected and crazy things happens on our mass transit system everyday.

I've heard that Beats headphones block out everything, even if you don't play music. Also, you can ask for ear plugs at Prometric to use with the headphones.

I am a bit weird but I can't stand something cover my whole ear 🙂 I prefer ear plugs or headphones that plug into your ears.

Does anyone wonder how clean the headphones in prometric are, or is that just me?

I have seen them wipe everything down (including the headphones) at Prometric between test takers. I think it depends on the center because I feel like the whole place is a germ pit.
