Just wondering..don’t think I have seen that yet. Thanks

    BEC 7/2010 - 77 (5 days of studying, thought CPA was a joke; expires 2/19/2012 :/)
AUD 8/2010, 11/2010 - 74,80 (2-3 weeks of studying, still thought CPA would happen)
REG 7/2011 - 59 (3 weeks of studying, started doubting myself), 11/29/2011 80 (rebuilding confidence, one more to go!)
FAR 8/2011, 10/2011 - 49(4 days of studying, just went and took it), 73 (one month of studying, will never underestimate this exam), 76!

    Donezo. Impossible is nothing.

I don't think it tells you how you did on each section if you pass the exam, so I'm not sure anybody would know. I know a bunch of people on here claim they bombed their sims but still managed to pass, and I believe them. Here's a quote from the candidate performance report though:

“The comparable column is based on those candidates who scored between 75-80 on the examination section as a whole”

What that means is you've technically gotten “weaker” on the sims if you a 74 or lower. So I would say yes it's absolutely possible.

    REG: 85
    AUD: 74, 85
    FAR: 74 (sigh)
BEC: 80 (don't even ask me how)

My AUD repord said my SIM is weaker and my MCQ is stronger. On the other hand, the report shows my knowledge areas are either in compatible or stronger. :-/…I passed with a 81.

@cpa-convertible – would you please advise on how you were able to find that out? I called NASBA, and the person that I spoke with said that information is not released for passing scores.

I am in Texas and we receive a report no matter if you pass or fail. I did weaker on AUD simulations and stronger on MCQ and passed with an 81.

Thanks for the replies…I am testing in TX, so they give a report regardless of pass/fail. Last time, I got stronger in MCQs and weaker in Sims and failed (or should I say “missed) with a 73 on FAR. Must've really bombed the Sims.

@apbandj…couple guys above me already answered your question. It depends on which state you are in. I am in Texas, hence TSBPA. They gave us a report on how well we do in term of knowledge areas and test session (SIM and MCQ). I think each states varies. Sounds like you are in a state doesn't offer reports.

@akb9874…oh my! We have the same report results and scores on AUD! and We live in the same state too!

Thanks for the info. Maybe they don't release that info but the AICPA does? Who knows – there are so many agencies and organizations involved in this whole process that it's confusing. But I am sure they like to keep it that way.

I really think either all states or no states should release detailed score reports for passing scores. It doesn't hardly seem fair that some people get it and some people don't. I came up with my own approach on how to do sims and I'm curious how I did compared to others. I know a lot of it depends on the questions you get, but it would still be nice to know.

I guess that can be a trade-off for Texas having to wait so long for scores!

@apbandj…I would trade this report for faster score release anytime. like what you said, there are so many agencies involved, you had to go thru so many to just to sit for the exam. First, apply for eligibility for THAT exam after you are already approved to sit for the examS. Then, waited for couple days for NTS, then paid AICPA? (or TSBPA?) for the exam fee, then waited for another day, then you can schedule thru Prometric, and did I mention that prometric website is disfuctional/confusing too? I really think everyone here will eventually become a CPA. Why? 'cause if you are intelligent enough to figure the process to sit for the exam, you are intelligent enough to pass the exam.

Us candidates in NY don't get a performance report when we pass. We only get one when we fail. So, I have no idea how well I did on my FAR and AUD Sims. However, when I failed REG last time with a 74, I got Comparable on MCQs and Weaker on Sims.

Not here and not with FAR. I got weaker in sims and stronger in m/c on my last FAR test. The result? 74.
