Had to reschedule my FAR exam- kind of disappointed

Although I was certain I could make it, as I really got into the material I realized just how far behind I am. I rescheduled to give myself 12 extra days. I feel very relieved, but a little sad that I didn’t reach my goal. Just a couple days ago, I mentioned I may have to do this to my boyfriend and he said I should just not give myself that option. I feel bad to have to do this, but I know I could not have gotten through the material in only 2 weeks. I am only about 10% through now.

This isn't a race. You did the right thing if you felt unprepared. I did the same thing you did and rescheduled my REG exam to give myself 2 extra weeks. It helped! I nailed the exam.

An extra 2 weeks is worth a passing grade. You will feel a lot worse if you take it and fail. Do what's best for YOU. You know yourself better than anyone.

    I'm studying FAR too.

It is a smart move to push back if your not ready. If I could push back my FAR test date, I would too. (My NTS is expiring).

I thought about pushing FAR back. I currently have it in November. The only convenient Prometric in my area is basically completely booked for this whole window already. Crazy.

Thanks everyone. I'm sure it is okay

@Mary- I was worried that would happen to me. I had to reschedule it a little later than I originally hoped, but I was so happy I was able to get an afternoon appointment (my brain just isn't turned on in the morning).

I just reschedule my FAR exam too. My studying was really disjointed, so I sat down this week and created a day by day plan to see how much time I realistically needed to get through all that I had left. There was no way I'd be ready by 10/18/14, so I pushed it back a month to give myself plenty of time. I hate doing it, but I'd rather be prepared than have to retake!

Exactly. The pain of a retake is worse than spending extra time on the material if it's needed.

That's cool that you were able to. Along with scheduling, I have to coordinate pick-ups from school or after-school care for days when I don't test first thing in the morning.

The Prometric by me always fills up so fast. Seems to have filled up even faster in this last window for some reason, even more so than 4Q last year.
