    Anybody out there?! Ok, so it isn’t high school football. To me the “Friday Night Lights” for aspiring CPA’s is the glow of light from their laptop or pc—everybody glowing or what?!

    My husband is off to a concert (Widespread Panic) and took my son and his friend. Me, I am home with my study buddy (my dog, Birdy) and the glow of my Mac. Gotta love REG!!!!

    Happy studying this weekend 😉

    Yankee, Yes it's “Friday Night Lights” CPA style for me tonight as well:( I too am studying for REG. I am using Becker and finishing up on Chapter 7. Have the corporate and estate chapters to do. Then re-study again for BEC. Ugh. When are you taking REG? I take REG 11/19 and BEC 11/20.

    hey candothis!

    Nice quote. I remember your post on taking both exams so close together. UGH! But you will be so glad when they are both done.

    I am using Yaeger cram, Becker testbank, and a new Wiley review book with updated AICPA mcqs and sims. I hope it helps. I got a 70 last window. I take REG on 11/1. Then I take Audit on 11/23.

    Audit seems to be the bane of my existence. This will be my 3rd try. 🙁

    How do you feel about REG ?

    Yankee,(guess that may be a sore spot after last nights Yankees loss:)

    This time around with REG things are sinking in better. I have a much longer time to prepare this time versus before. I'm having time to implement my passing AUD strategy. So keep your fingers crossed!! The first time around with REG was four weeks after taking BEC in the spring. I completed all lectures, MC's twice and the final review for Becker. But four weeks, for me, is no where near enough time required for the amount of material Becker covers and this part throws at you.

    Good luck on AUD and REG!!

    @Cashmoney

    I am working on Corporate tax. Armed with a giant box of kleenex and a bottled water. Of course fighting a big cold..nothing like studying for the CPA when you feel like crap!!! Looks like you have FAR coming up…best of luck on it.

    Hope your studying is going well.

    Thanks Yankee. Studying is going alright so far. The library closed early so I have to study the rest at home. I'm never as productive back home for some reason!

    I hope your feel better with your cold. Good luck on REG and make sure to keep hydrated. Tea and orange juice I suggest. I always try to load myself with that Vitamin C. Have you taken Zicam before?

    @yankeeaccountant and @jomarie

    I just spent about a week of being under the weather, mainly my throat and ears were not feeling quite right.

    You have my sympathies (and empathy :-))!! Get better quickly!

    Suggestions:

    Drink loads of fluids (ppl say OJ)

    Vitamin C

    Stay warm

    Get rest – although that is not always possible 🙁

    Good luck studying, all!

    @Cashmoney

    I took it yesterday. I also drank some Airborne yesterday…I am hoping all that Vitamin C kicks in. I had my hubby and my son home 2 days each this week with cold/chills/etc. So, I guess it is my turn. Forgot about OJ…..I will do that. Thanks for the suggestion.

    I love the library, I do much better there too. How are you feeling with FAR? Is this your first exam?

    HEY ACCT!!!

    Good to hear from you. Seems like everybody is sick lately. I hope you are doing better. So, do tell, how is the CPA life going? You are done with school, right? If so, that must feel great!

    Hi!!!

    Yeah, sounds like people have been getting colds and the such lately. But I guess we're lucky that it's been a pretty nice winter so far (of course, depending on where you live…)

    Since passing, I've been vacationing with my family on a warm, tropical island…mmmm….just kidding! 🙂

    I haven't taken vacation from work recently. Now that I'm not studying for the CPA I've been putting in more time, especially since tax season started…

    I'm actually not licensed yet – I am short a few credits. NASBA recently changed their policy to accept credits for a certain business course I had taken so I had to take care of getting that course approved, and now I have to get my grad school transcript sent to them for the other three credits I'm missing. I'm not done with school – just starting second semester of grad school.

    It's nice to have time to get my life back in order. I mainly come back here to see how the people who helped me get through the CPA exams are doing – I am waiting for you all to pass!!!
