How long did it take you from start to finish the CPA exam? My goal is to be done in 10 months from the date I first sat for an exam. Of course, this assumes I actually pass each exam. lol

I’m just curious how long the testers have been at it.

    Thanks!

    AUD: 07/11/11 - Passed
    BEC: 08/27/11 - Passed
    FAR: 01/17/12 - Passed
    REG: 04/30/12; Re-take 7/16/12 - Passed

    FINISHED!!!!!!!!

Activated my becker software 07/25/2010. Sat for my last section (and Passed) 07/24/2011.

Do not ask me how, but I managed to get it done in 365 days – skipped one testing period.

For my last section, I sat on the exact same computer as my first section in Prometric center.

It has been 10 days since I found out that I was done, but I am still in the “what's next” mode. What a nightmare it was!

Now gettin ready for the CISA (certified information system auditor) exam. YAY!

    BEC 91 08/22/2010
    AUD 96
    REG 90
    FAR 81 07/24/2011 Done! I can't believe it

Took me about a year, using Yaeger homestudy, working full time and moving once. Finished my last online community college class in May 2010 to get my credit hours, then was really motivated to get FAR, BEC and AUD done before 2011 IFRS, so REG was my only 2011 exam. Took a loooong break in 2011 before taking REG in May. Postponed twice; really hard to focus for that last one. I'd say try to get the pain over as quickly as possible, but build into your plans missing one window (job pressure, family time, nervous breakdown, whatever). Those folks who took multiple exams in the same window — more power to 'em, but for me no way.

Sat for my first exam 8/28/10 and my last exam on 8/29/11. Took the exam a total of 8 times. Initially wanted to start in 2009 after I graduated from grad school in Dec. 2008… Didn't work out (got lazy). Got serious in 2010 and started to study, but I ended up moving to a new state in June of 2010 and had to reschedule. So it was exactly a year and a day from my first exam to my last. Worked full time and studied whenever I could. Not easy. I definitely admire those who aren't giving up the fight.
