How long did it take you from start to finish the CPA exam? My goal is to be done in 10 months from the date I first sat for an exam. Of course, this assumes I actually pass each exam. lol

I’m just curious how long the testers have been at it.

    Thanks!

    AUD: 07/11/11 - Passed

    FAR: 01/17/12 - Passed

Took my first exam on 7/2/09 and failed, then got laid off and had to move and had some other personal stuff going on… Took a break until 4/12/10 when I took FAR and passed. It took me almost 18 months to get all 4 sections passed. I almost had FAR expire.. *shudder* Very scary. So glad this nightmare is over!

Failed Audit in August 2009, passed BEC August 2011. Two years, Audit would expire in 11/22/11 if I had not passed BEC by then. Sat in every window except 2010Q1 (tax season). Never miss an opportunity if you can avoid it.

Used Becker's Fast Pass and somehow managed to nail it in 4 months.

Started studying April 2010, took my final exam at the end of August 2011, so 15 months total from start to finish. Spent 11 of those months actually studying, took a break in between as well as those times where I wasnt studying while waiting for a score. Nonetheless I count the entire 15 months because even when I wasn't studying, this damn exam was on my mind and in my thoughts.

Check my sig: I started studying for AUD about 4 weeks prior to taking the exam.

*edit*: LOL, just realized my sig doesnt have dates. Took AUD on 10/05/2010 and finished FAR on 05/28/2011, so about 9 months of studying.

It took me from June 2010 through August 2011 minus about four months of breaks for waiting on scores/recovering from burnout. About 11 months worth of studying altogether. Good times.

    REG - 85, Rawrrrrrr FAR - 88

Studied a good 2 months for each section. Like T-Rex said, rest in between exam and score usually. I started the next ection but didnt get too into until I got my next score. First exam passed on 10/29, and passed the last one 8/30. I wanted to take my time and pass so I didnt have to pay to take them again. Too damn expensive

I took FAR in late November 2010 and BEC on 8/17/11. That is, if you ignore the two sections I tested on in 2006. 🙂

Started studying at the end of April 2011 for my first test in May and last was in August. I used self study Becker and I thought it was a very good review set as long as you have the time to put into it. I tried to average 4-6 weeks per test and it seemed to be just enough for my situation.
