Hi,

This is my third crack at REG(72,71) I’ve bombed the simulations every time… This time around, I’ve been through all the Becker review material. I took the time to learn the concepts over memorizing the multiple choice questions, took notes based on my wrong MCQ answers and have been achieving 90% in my progress tests. My question is with 8 days to go, should I focus on redoing all the MCQs for each section or do sets of 50 MCQ progress tests made up of all topics over and over and over? Any other suggestions?

Do as many random MCQs and possible. 2 days before the exam I would focus on MCQs that you struggle with. Day before, take it pretty easy. I like to make my “waiting in the car right before the exam” cheat sheet the night before, which the process of doing I remember/relearn those topics.

The REG sims sucks I know.

Since you say you were weak on them, I would say stop doing mcq's and use the rest of the time to work only the REG sims. It will help reinforce your REG study but also give you practice on them. BE SURE TO WATCH THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SIGNS! Those will hurt you big time even if you get the correct figures. I would also take time to go through the Authorative Literature too.

Three days before my REG exam, I stopped doing mcq's. During those three days, all I did was go over all the Tax and Property Transaction Sims. I purposely ignored the B Law sims because I knew I wasn't going to get them.

Are B-Law sims a thing? like is it possible for the AICPA to give you one of those?

@Thefuture it is possible, but from what I have heard highly unlikely. However, as we all know, the CPA can throw anything at you 🙂
