MyebleParticipantGuys,
This is crazy, I am just trying to take a 2 days break because i just took an exam and i need to study for another one, but I can’t even relax during these two days. I am constantly feeling guilty. My next exam is in November.
“You should be studying? thoughts…I mean this is crazy!” This is an obsession!…

W_HAMILTONMemberYou could be in my position, where I had almost two months to study for FAR, proceeded to finish one chapter in about a month, and now still have like five chapters to go before I take the test next Saturday, hah.
I wouldn't feel guilty about a few days of relaxation, but definitely don't turn a few days into a few weeks like I did! π
REG - 93 (7/30/13)
BEC - 90 (8/19/13)
AUD - 98 (8/31/13)
FAR - 84 (10/19/13)October 8, 2013 at 6:46 pm #458524

Ntw6817Participant@myeble I'm with you. I thought about taking a couple days off but I couldn't. I figure if I get ahead in my studying then maybe I'll be able to do it.

10keyLeahMember@Myeble – I thought about taking one week off after sitting for AUD and BEC in the same window. It's been 2 days and I'm already back to studying for REG on day 3. I didn't really know what to do with myself over those 2 days, but I totally enjoyed it.
I know it may be difficult, but give yourself a little break if you can. Your mind and body will thank you, and then you go right back to it.

MintsRGoodParticipantNO feeling guilty about taking a 48 hour study time out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean it…seriously. If you need to take a 48 hour time out, then do it guilt free for your mental health and well being.
These exams are a pressure cooker and if you don't release from time to time…you just may explode. I did. See attached.

48 hours in the grand scheme of your study schedule is nothing. This is a marathon, not a sprint! π
REG: 75 DONE π
AUD: 61, 71, 68, 92 DONE π
BEC: 76 DONE π
FAR: 72, 74, 79 DONE π

AnonymousInactiveI took 2-3 days between REG and FAR and then again between FAR and BEC. Now I take AUD in under 3 weeks and I still haven't been able to get myself in study mode… i.e. I have not even gotten through A1 because I'm so burnt out. Take breaks, they'll be good for your ability to endure the 4-x months you'll need to pass the exam. I was on the 4-5 hours a day, 7 days a week schedule for the past 4 months which is largely when I'm so completely drained.

tough_kittyMemberI always felt way more motivated (and excited!) to study for the next section the day after I took the previous one! Now I changed jobs and didn't touch my AUD materials for 3 weeks…….I have 5 weeks to go and at this point only need to practice MCQs, but YES, I always feel guilty, UNLESS a day off was a scheduled one for me π Can't wait to be DONE!!!!
FAR: 81 (May 2013)
BEC: 81 (July 2013)
REG: 83 (August 2013)
AUD: 82 (November 2013)

G3MemberI take of the rest of the test day (I am usually emotionally drained anyway) and will take another day off if my sections are more than a month apart. This time around my first exam is on the 29th of this month and the next one is on 11/26 so I will not be able to take a relaxation day π
Hopefully it will all be worth it when results come in π
Good luck to all my fellow NINJAs taking an exam in this window!
