FAR retest…New notes?

I am beginning the preparation process to take FAR again. I took it in the beginning of April, so as much as 7 months have passed since I went over some of the material. I took two other sections between the original test and my retake so its not fresh in my mind anymore. I have changed prep courses for the second time around. So my question is, should I start over and take completely new notes? Or can I use my old notes? I have a 3 inch binder full of hand written notes from my first time around. They are good notes (they aren’t why I failed) but I don’t know if I would be doing myself a disservice by using them or if it would be beneficial to save time and get right to MCQs. What has been people’s experience with retakes? This is my first time retaking a section and I definitely want to pass this time. Thanks!

You should re-do the videos and re-do the notes. Taking notes is part of the active learning process. To some, it will seem like a waste of time since you've already done it, but sitting there and staring at a screen is the alternative and won't be as effective.

Thanks for the advice. That's what I was thinking would be best.

I am wondering how much time should we allocate for a FAR-retake in going over the entire materials from scratch.

I am taking AUD by 8/1 and my goal is to start re-study/review FAR right after that.

I doubt if I can do it in 4 weeks, (approximately 200 hours in total) and somehow take the test by 8/31.
