I just want to give up and cry….. This will be my 3rd time taking FAR, and I just had a breakdown. I started to use Becker”s final review, and I nearly got every single question wrong. I took notes from the book, from the HW, and I still cant get it. Am I really this stupid? I really want to just give up, this shit is not worth my health or my well being.

    BEC: 73,78 79
    AUD: 60, 60, 70, 80
    FAR: 49, 64, 71, 82
    REG: 68, 68, 73, 78

    DONE.... OMGFG DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well 2 ethics tests to take.

I just finished crying to my mother – and I'm 40! I got the bright idea that I could take and pass two exams in one day and finally put this baby to bed. FAR in the am and REG in the pm. I felt horrible and almost broke down when the Prometric lady asked, “Is this your last one?” As if to say she's tired of seeing me up in there. Lady, I'm keeping you employed!

But, I digress. Today, was my 6th crack at FAR and 4th attempt at REG. So many thoughts were flowing through my head as I navigated from the Prometric center, where I could do their job with my eyes closed, all the way to my bed – so I could curl up in the fetal position and really reevaluate my life. Why am I putting myself through this shit!?! I know. I ask myself everytime I crack the cover on one of these thick books that I'm planning to burn once I slay this test to death – if it doesn't kill me first. But after hearing my mother's encouraging words this evening, I've decided to not throw in the towel – NOT NOW, NOT EVER! I refuse to let this test defeat me. I will go to my grave, with those precious little initials behind my name. I put that on everything.

I gave up on this test 17yrs ago and I'm paying dearly for it now. I'm not giving up and neither should you. We are better, smarter, and tougher than this test. I came back for a CPA rematch in 2009 and here are my standings:

    A: 45,74,72,68,70,85* (Passed)

    B: 45,65,70,78 (Passed)

    F: 59,50,68,58,70

    R: 49,47,64

*in danger of losing credit as of 4/5, if I didn't pass FAR & REG today.

@Occupy – I took two in one day too. REG in the morning and FAR in the afternoon. I passed REG but got a 73 on FAR. It's good to know I'm not the only one brave enough to attempt that! I'll be watching for your scores in a few weeks.

@Kricket, ouch! It's people like you who inspire me to keep at it. I will be happy if I pass FAR or REG and over the moon, if I managed to pull off a miracle. The thought of going down to only one exam passed is tough to swallow. I printed another remittance form today and am prepping study plans for AUD at the end of this window, just in case. Then it's FAR at the top of the Jul/Aug window and REG in the middle.

What works for me-I can't go too long after a fail, because I'll have to basically start from scratch learning the information, especially since I don't use any of this in my current position-thus, the impetus for getting my CPA, so I can make a serious career move.

I'll be sure to post my scores – but, only if I pass! Lol!
