My Exam is scheduled for Aug 31st. When are you taking yours? I am using Becker and am in the review stage. I am also trying to get as many Ninja MCQ Knocked out.

Struggling with Monetary / Non Monetary transactions — any tips on how you remember treatment for non substance transactions?

I have been killing NFP/Govt..Are you ready for those sections?

Exam on 8/27. Done 1100 NINJA MCQs so far. Horrible on govt, better on NFP. Planning the next few days to review my notes and weak points and I might not do new MCQs but go through the missed ones to make sure I got the idea/the reason not just memorizing answers which means lots govt again

i'm testing on Friday. I'm doing the MCQs but i'm not up to the review stage yet. I'm averaging 85 which makes feel better than last time when I was trending around a 71 and failed with a 67. i just want to pass! I can't take this anymore!

i'm using Becker and Ninja. I went through the Becker material and did all MCQ and now going through NINJA.

Trying to lock down the Pension Journal Entries and SIMs in Becker now..SIR AGE..(And praying that as I cram this information in…I am not losing some other valuable information)

i never know what to do about the SIMS. I went through the becker SIMS last time and felt i should focus more on the material. I know the types of SIMS i may see on the exam. This sucks so bad. I'm so scared I will fail and i will feel defeated and give up

As much as it kills me — facing what I don't know so close to exam date — I'm still trudging through it. I am getting the feeling that the pension J/E and are going to be an “in our face” SIMS — I'd feel better have a hint of an idea to make educated guesses if I don't have it down.

Question:

I am having a difficult time understanding when to Debit the Pension Asset account vs Debit Pension Liability when recording the contribution to the plan (offsetting credit is Cash).

Can anyone help explain when to use either? Looks like the corresponding deferred taxes also swings with which ever I select.
