FAR–>BEC–>REG–>FAR vs. FAR–>REG–>BEC–>FAR

I just took FAR today for the first time, and I’m pretty sure I failed it because I ran out of time on the sims. Considering today is the first day of the testing window, that means I have to wait all the way until October 1st before I can take it again. In the meantime, I intend to take REG and BEC at the end of July and August, though I’m not sure which order to go. The general consensus seems to be against taking FAR and REG back-to-back, but naturally this will be unavoidable for me since REG and BEC will be bookended by my two FAR attempts.

Therefore, after having just crammed FAR to exhaustion, should I now proceed onto REG so that I can use BEC to give me some space between REG and my next FAR attempt, or should I proceed onto BEC so that when I study for REG, it will not be after having just binged on FAR?

Obviously there’s no “correct” answer, but I’m just looking for thoughts and suggestions.

    AUD: 88
    BEC: 79
    REG: 81
    FAR: 72 » 74 » 88

Study method: 100% watching videos, including solving problems covered therein; no books, paper, or pencils

Try not to spaz, because I walked out of FAR about ready to cry and spent score release day just waiting for the punch in the face and I passed, so you reeeeally never know.

I would do REG next. I did FAR -> AUD -> REG -> BEC and I am so out of steam on BEC, and was so close to out of steam on REG that I wouldn't want to be tackling big ones at the end of my journey. BUT, that's just me. You know you and how you study best. Do what makes the most sense for you. Just… don't lose all hope on FAR because stranger things have happened.

    FAR - 79 (11/27/13)
    AUD - 76 (2/1/14)
    REG - 77 (5/30/14)
    BEC - 88 (7/18/14)

    MN Ethics - 100% (3/9/14)

    AND DONE! 8/1/14

It really depends on how much time you have to study. I can only get in about 20-25 hours were week so 4 weeks would not be enough for me to tackle REG. I would have to take BEC and AUD in the same window if I only had 8 weeks for 2 exams because they have the least amount of material, but that would still be pushing it because it leaves no room for unexpected deters to studying. My suggestion would be to take 6 weeks for AUD or REG and IF you failed FAR, jump back in to studying that for 6 weeks to be ready at the beginning of October. AUD and FAR have some overlap so it may help to take them close together.

I did FAR- AUD- BEC- REG. Though I have not written REG. Why don't you do AUD after FAR. A lot of the knowledge from FAR transfers to AUD. Topics like the ratios, contingencies and some other once. I remember I got a full and long FAR question on my AUD sim. I know I wouldn't have being able to answer that question without my knowledge from FAR. With that said, if you feel comfortable doing REG after FAR, can go for it. Do not sweat too much about your performance on FAR until the result comes out. You may still end up getting over the pass mark. All the best.

    Far - Passed 83
    Aud - Passed 84
    Bec - Passed 77
    Reg- Passed 77
