FAR and REG in same window? - Page 3

I need some advice. I am planning to retake FAR April 21st (or 28th if I absolutely need to reschedule). I have vacation planned from April 30th – May 5th. Should I try to study for REG right after FAR, including during vacation, in order to sit for it at the end of May? Or should I just take my time and start studying for it after my vacation and schedule REG for the beginning of July? The cons I see with that is losing yet another full summer studying and potentially a really long score release wait time. Obviously I am assuming I will pass my FAR retake. What do you guys think?

I am so sick of paying for these exams. I just checked out my NASBA application history and I have paid for 12 exams in total since 2009 (including some I never even showed up to). I am so tired of this and just want to be done.

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

@Amay, I will be taking both in the same window as well. That's the first time I attempt it, we need to kill this exam!

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

@ Kricket and Baxter, You all may not realize how important support is, but I definitely appreciate your comments and concerns for the rest of trying to pass. Besides, this is what the forum is for to encourage others during and after the journey. Sometimes I read the same question over and over again and it seems that those that have experience have a reasonable answer . Some posters may mean well, but the forum can sometimes become a power struggle over who has the best jobs, connections, education, mba or ms or Harvard, DePaul or online. I don't want a power struggle, I don't want pity or sorry feelings, I don't want to feel like an idiot because I didn't pay a million dollars for my education, or my review materials didn't cost $5,000. I just want to pass, get those letters behind my name, and hopefully reap the benefits of being a CPA. The broken record is necessary to help us understand it doesn't matter how many times it take to pass, or circumstances don't have to be the reason I can't pass, just pass. And that there are others facing all kinds of situations from various walks of life and certainly various ages so there really is no reason to give up unless you just don't want it bad enough.

Ok, so my point is don't stop posting we need you……:-))

I took 2 tests in every window until I was done, once I switched to that mind-set I started passing! I wanted to reschedule REG, and yet I passed. I did reschedule BEC (It was on my birthday, jeez!) back a couple of days but felt unready and passed. Then I studied and passed FAR within 6 weeks after taking BEC, even though I wanted to post-pone it. It is doable!

If you really want to be done, get mad, get focused, say good bye to your social world and focus! Let it consume your ever day for the next 2 months and I guarantee you that you will pass and be done before summer is here. I gave you my study plan for FAR, apply it to your studying.

Why take a vacation and time off in between these exams when you can study like a hell on your vacation and be on a permanent vacation from studying FOREVER! You can have your vacation if you want, or you can have your summer… it's up to you. I would choose my damn summer over a weeks vacation anytime.

The tediousness of the next 2 and a half months will pale in comparison to the foreverness of being a CPA!

I took my exams since 2009 too, purchased Becker, CPA Excel, a couple of Roger crams, and the WTB's and NINJA notes. It's an investment in you that nobody can take away, money well spent.

And on a side note, instead of paying for another CPA exam this month, I am buying a 39″ television for my relax room. You can be here too, now get mad, and get focused, and study your tail off.

    AUD - Jan 9,13 Pass
    REG - Aug 30,13 Pass
    BEC - Oct 26,13 Pass
    FAR - Dec 4,13 Pass
